Kyle Sandy | Prep Hoops Scout
High motor, high energy athlete that swoops in for offensive rebounds. Scores a lot on garbage points and dump-offs, but is getting better as a slasher. Is a threat to space out the floor and shoot the three. One of the most consistent rebounders and double-double guys in Georgia. Trending up.

As the game wore on, Wilbanks got stronger. His non-stop motor and nose for the ball forced double overtime as he swooped in from the top of the key for a tip-in with a second to play. Colton is one of the best offensive rebounders in the state with how he crashes the glass from all angles. The bouncy forward must be accounted for at all times. Defensively, he excels at jumping passing lanes and finishing with slams.

Up from No. 94: High-flying forward plays with elite motor. Super quick second leap when cleaning up misses. Crashes offensive glass every chance he gets. Doesn’t need plays called for him. Thrives in the dunker spot finishing dump offs. Can step outside and shoot the three. Habitual double-double. Scratching the surface of his potential.

, it’s easy to see why Wilbanks is likely the best player in Hall County, but the scary part is that he isn’t even scratching the surface of his potential. Wilbanks is an interesting 6-foot-5 forward that plays with an endless motor and springy legs. He flies in for offensive rebounds mercilessly, leaping over opponents to keep the ball alive, often volleying the ball on the glass before using his quick second leap to secure the rebound and finish on balance the second time. Wilbanks can play inside and out. He’s unorthodox with his form as he doesn’t look to be squared when he shoots on the perimeter and falls off to the left when attempting free throws, but Wilbanks remains a threat to knock down shots when left open. Colton runs the floor hard for transition points and is quick to leap into passing lanes. If Wilbanks chooses to pursue basketball at the next level instead of baseball, he could be an interesting stock riser that likely isn’t on many college radars right now considering he doesn’t play travel ball. D-III and NAIA schools will want to be familiar with his game. If he continues to improve and polishes up some areas, D-II wouldn’t be a stretch.

One of North Georgia’s best kept secrets and likely the best player in Hall County, Wilbanks is a bouncy forward with inside-out scoring ability. He shoots the three with accuracy and can attack the rim off the dribble. Colton is a good scorer in the paint and a nuisance on the offensive glass. Named Class 4A Most Underrated, Wilbanks averaged 16.4 points, 12.3 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game. He’s a burgeoning D-II prospect.
