On September 24th-25th I attended Dinos Trigonis annual Pangos All-West Frosh Soph Camp located at McBrde HS in Long Beach, CA.
There were 20 teams with 192 prospects at the camp.
Locally some players drove out to California and tested themselves against some of the best from CA, WA, CO, OR, UT, HI, NV, AZ and one from MI.
Here were the Arizona standouts:
AJ Anderson AJ Anderson 6'0" | PG Paradise Valley | 2025 State AZ Paradise Valley (Pictured)
A good showing from the scoring point guard. He can make plays for others and he handles ball pressure well but he showed his offense in this setting more. He can get downhill with a burst plus pull-up off the dribble or use the floater game. He will drive and kick and is smart and tough. He is quick on the ball defensively.
James Steward James Steward 6'8" | PF Marcos De Niza | 2025 State AZ Marcos de Niza
A decent sized center who is athletic. He dunks it and plays with a good motor. He will score with his back to the basket but is mostly a put back scorer. He uses his height, length and reach to corral the ball and go to work. He will rebound and block shots at a good rate.
Braden Moore Braden Moore 6'3" | PG Lee County | 2025 State GA Yuma Catholic
One of the surprises of the camp was a local product. He has a strong, tighter handle and is a rare pure point guard. He consistently finds players open and will throw the dime. He has a super shifty handle and loves getting to the basket and will spin off of his defenders and use advanced footwork inside. He can euro to the cup and is very crafty plus will hit the jumper.
Jaden Blasczyk Bradshaw Mountain
A fluid mover in space. He blocks shots in and out of his area and fights hard inside the paint to rebound. He is a quick jumper to board and can score on dunks, put backs and hook shots with either hand.
D’Andre Harrison D’Andre Harrison 6'5" | PF Perry | 2025 State AZ Perry
A versatile forward who can score from inside and out. His mid-range game is his sweet spot and can step out to the three. He is tough inside to score thru contact. He uses a big time motor to rebound and the lefty blocks or challenges shots with his unusual length He takes long strides in the lane and will score through contact.
Caspian Jones Caspian Jones 6'7" | SF St. Mary's | 2025 State AZ St. Mary’s
A highly skilled wing forward can shoot the the ball from the 3pt line effortlessly. He is best off the catch and is a sneaky good passer. He can get to the rim and flush it down easily. He can defend on the perimeter and inside. He should have a big year for the Knights.
