79 players are new and more and more will be discovered in the next few years. I want to take a look at some possible sleepers that can possibly make a jump in the next few years or so and be a stock riser. The reality is, if you are not improving, assume someone is passing you up!
Here are some possible future stock risers:
Mo Watson Mo Watson 6'3" | SF North Canyon | 2027 State AZ North Canyon
A long rare point forward type is an intriguing prospect. He handles it well in tight spaces and can even split defenders and throw the rope. He scores on put backs, floaters and get downhill. If he can add a deep ball, his stock would rise.
Ashton Musser Ashton Musser 6'9" | C St. Mary’s | 2027 State AZ St. Mary’s
As the old saying goes, bigs take the longest to develop and then they will eventually rise up and surpass many undersized players. That can definitely happen with Musser. He has incredible size with soft hands and good feet. Once he gets more playing time and gets in tip-top shape, watch out.
Jamar’e Stoudemire Jamar’e Stoudemire 6'3" | PF Perry | 2027 State AZ Perry
A long and very lean power forward is just scratching the surface. He can score inside with offensive rebounds and can hit perimeter jumpers. He is a top notch shot blocker already and once he fills in and gets stronger, he will make a leap up.
Zeshawn Gould Zeshawn Gould 6'1" | CG Phhoenix Prep | 2027 State AZ Phhoenix Prep
A quick and athletic combo guard can score and defend. He can play and defend multiple positions and get to the basket plus hit shots from mid to the three. He has a good handle and speed. Once he polishes up his deep ball with more consistency, he may climb up the rankings.
Creighton Wirth Creighton Wirth 6'0" | CG Campo Verde | 2027 State AZ Campo Verde
The son of a coach plays with a huge IQ and comes with decent size and skill. He plays unselfishly to move the ball and looks to make plays but he can also score. He can shoot the three, fall away from his defenders and get downhill. Once he becomes stronger and more aggressive, he may leap up.
O’mari Gilbert O’mari Gilbert 6'5" | PF Paradise Valley | 2027 State AZ Paradise Valley (Pictured)
A long power forward with a big family history. He can score facing up to the three plus score inside and block shots using his length and timing. He moves well from end to end and when the lefty fills in and grows, his stock will climb.
Akil Abdullah Akil Abdullah 6'3" | SF Hamilton | 2027 State AZ Hamilton
A long small forward can score from all levels. He can shoot it from the three point line plus he has a big motor to rebound in and out of his area. If he can get more consistent finishing around the basket and keep growing, his athleticism and length gives him the future upside to rise up the rankings.
Carter Watson Carter Watson 5'11" | PG Gilbert | 2027 State AZ Gilbert
A true point guard who can make plays up the court and drive and kick it with a tight handle plus score. He has range for days on his three point shot and can score inside with his craftiness with euros and speed drives. Once he fills in and grows some, he may be a stock riser.
