So instead, I’m opting to break down prospects by area. Here’s a look at the top players in Bowling Green and the surrounding areas. For purposes of this article, we are only considering the 3rd and 4th Regions.
Glover was a breakout star last season and has drawn a ton of college interest this summer. The Dragons may be the favorite to win state and Glover is their MVP.
Mason’s college stock has taken off in the last 6 months and he’s on his way to being the best college prospect in the 2024 class thanks to his size and athleticism. Look for a breakout season from him this year.
Kade has gotten healthy and earned his first two D1 offers in the last few months. An elite shooter, Unseld is going to score a lot of points this season for WC.
One of the more overlooked players in the class, Whitney holds a couple of D2 offers now and has the long term upside that coaches love to see. He’s long and athletic and could be the X factor in the state title chase.
Ji had a quiet summer but has been one of the most productive players in the 3rd region for the last few seasons and he looks ready to make a push to get the Aces to Rupp and claim a region player of the year trophy.
Lawson came on the scene last season and had a big AAU summer with Power Circle at the 15u level. Look for Rice to keep providing the Bears with high energy and an interior presence.
Highlights
Price is a high level shooter who returns to Butler County after a couple of seasons spent in Warren County. Part of a talented young core for Butler County, Ty will likely be the best 3 point shooter in the 3rd region.
One of the best athletes in the area, Carbon is a big time scorer in addition to being a high level football player. The Red Devils are going to push to get back to Rupp and Kenyata could be the regional player of the year.
Elijah is long and athletic and a good shooter. He won’t hesitate to try and dunk on an opponent, especially in transition. The third region is going to be top heavy and Decker could get the Eagles back in the mix to get to Rupp.
