Continue ReadingThroughout the spring and summer, I’ve watched Chatfield’s game grow to new levels and he looks ready to make a huge leap in his sophomore year. This year at Pace, the spotlight will be on Chatfield and his backcourt accomplice, Kyle Greene Kyle Greene 6’3″ | PG Pace Academy | 2024 State #155 Nation GA . He’s a shifty ball-handler and has a knack for setting up his teammates. Chatfield has already received offers from Tulane, Georgia State, and Kennesaw State but his list should grow immensely.
After being widely considered one of the top freshman in 3A last year, Kersh will make to look another step in his development as Cherokee Bluff makes the transition to 4A. His role will likely see an increase this year and he’ll make an excellent companion for Carlos Marlow on the perimeter. Kersh has good size for a guard and attacks the rim well. He’s also a great shooter from outside and plays his role extremely well. Kersh should have a big year at Cherokee Bluff.
Despite being labeled a breakout candidate, Daveon Henderson Daveon Henderson 6’0″ | CG Westside-Macon | 2023 State GA broke out last year, averaging 21 PPG and 8 RPG for Westside. He’s on this list because I think he’ll receive a lot more attention from scouts and college coaches in his senior year. Henderson is a lethal scorer and is nearly automatic from mid-range. He can play either guard spot, handles the ball well, and looks very ready for the next level. It’s hard to find another unsigned senior guard that’s as talented and well-rounded as Daveon Henderson Daveon Henderson 6’0″ | CG Westside-Macon | 2023 State GA .
Devin Hutcherson
Devin Hutcherson
Hutcherson joins the Holy Innocents program as a freshman but his game doesn’t represent his age. Hutcherson is a big guard that knows how to get to the rim and finish well in traffic. He’ll join a talented group of players at Holy Innocents but it’s hard to keep a player this talented off the court. I expect Hutcherson to get his touches this year and make the most of them. I think we could easily be talking about Devin Hutcherson as one of the state’s top 2026s in a few months.
Alex Pissis Alex Pissis 6'6" | SF Catholic | 2025 State VA

By no means did Pissis have a quiet freshman season. Yet, I believe he could cement himself as one of the top players in the state after this season. Pissis has all the physical tools when you look at his 6’6 size, impressive leaping ability, and all-around coordination. He can score at all 3 levels and shoots it well off the dribble. Pissis plays above the rim, finishing dunks in the paint and making an impact on the boards as well. The combination of his size, skillset, and versatility make Alex Pissis Alex Pissis 6’6″ | SF Catholic | 2025 State VA one of Georgia’s most intriguing players in my opinion.
