Continue ReadingTaylor does a great job competing on the glass on both ends of the floor despite giving up a lot of size to most opposing players. He’s a quick lead guard who can break down a defense and get into the paint, whether he is a capable finisher and passer. He moves his feet well on the defensive end, staying in front of opposing ball-handlers and has quick hands that he uses to poke the ball away routinely.

You never quite know how players from small schools are going to adjust to playing against bigger, better athletes than they’re accustomed to seeing, especially the freshmen and sophomores. But Frank handled himself well, showing that he can move really well off the ball, finding spaces in the defense. He’s a good shooter with good form and rotation, and a release that could get a little quicker. He had a solid all-around day on Saturday.
A long wing whose wingspan certainly exceeds his height, Eastman uses that length effectively on the defensive end, getting into passing lanes and denying hard. He does a good job utilizing ball fakes and subtle head fakes to momentarily freeze the defender en route to the rim, where he finishes well.
On a team filled with 2025 prospects, Gorman certainly stood out. A 6-2 off-ball guard, he showed the ability to shoot both off the dribble and the catch. He has good footwork and understands how to subtly create space without being called for fouls in order to get his shot off. A lefty with plenty of range, he could be heard from as early as this season for PV.
A left-handed big man with a non-stop motor, Leichty competed hard on the glass on both ends of the floor throughout the afternoon. He does a good job keeping the ball high both on rebounds and on his post touches and he has a few go-to moves that he uses to score on the block. He’s still a little stiff athletically, but he plays hard, is a good rebounder, and a solid finisher around the bucket.
A 6-5 combo forward who can score inside and out, Van Beek has a good frame to continue building upon with a solid wingspan and broad shoulders that he can continue adding strength to. He has really good hands and touch around the rim and has confidence in his jumper out to the arc. He can move his feet a bit on the defensive end, providing some versatility, and he rebounds well on both ends of the floor.
Another piece of an absolutely loaded 2025 class at Valley, Hadden is a 6-5/6-6 forward who showed that he can stretch the floor with a pretty looking jumper. He has really good size, strong hands, and is a solid rebounder.
A 6-6 stretch-4 with a pretty looking jumper, Feucht impressed with his ability to shoot the ball off the catch. He has a high release, which when coupled with his size means he gets his shot off whenever he wants, and a smooth stroke with a repeatable release. He showed that he can take defenders off the dribble a bit, catching on the wing and using a few hard dribbles to get to the rim, and he also flashed some footwork on post touches.
