Expert Analysis
Tony Roe | Prep Hoops Scout
Taylor is a dynamic playmaker with the ball in his hands, a blur who gets up-and-down the floor just about as quickly as anyone in the state with the ball. He’s a talented guard in ball screen actions, able to turn the corner tight and get to the rim, pop behind and knock down a jumper, or find the roll man with a nice drop-off for easy buckets. Defensively he has quick feet and hands, moving well on that end of the floor.

A cat-quick 5-11 guard, Taylor stepped into the starting lineup for the Dragons’ game against Prairie and performed at a high level on both ends of the floor. He uses his speed to his advantage on both ends, getting to the rim and making life difficult for opposing ball-handlers. He does a great job sitting in his stance, moving his feet, and using his quickness and defensive acumen to really get up into opposing players and make them uncomfortable. Offensively, he’s able to get to the rim seemingly at will, using his handles and a quick first step to turn the corner and get to the bucket. He’s also a skilled passer with great court vision. He finished with 7 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists.
