Expert Analysis
Tony Roe | Prep Hoops Scout
Van Beek is a long, athletic wing who can do a little bit of everything for your team. He’s still not a great perimeter shooter, but he’s enough of a threat that it at least needs to be respected, but he’s a good playmaker with size and court vision that allows him to make passes that lots of other players in the state can’t. He provides some defensive versatility, finishes around the rim, and is solid on the glass.

Van Beek is an intriguing prospect that the NAIA programs in northwest Iowa should be keeping on their radar. He’s a mobile, versatile 6-5 wing with good size and length and the ability to score inside and out, as well as contribute on the glass and make plays for others. He averaged 9.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 2.4 assists a game as a sophomore for the Warriors while shooting nearly 40% from behind the arc.

A 6-5 combo forward who can score inside and out, Van Beek has a good frame to continue building upon with a solid wingspan and broad shoulders that he can continue adding strength to. He has really good hands and touch around the rim and has confidence in his jumper out to the arc. He can move his feet a bit on the defensive end, providing some versatility, and he rebounds well on both ends of the floor.
