Ritter played a smaller role with the Purples last season but earned 2 Division I scholarship offers this summer and one D1 assistant told me he believes Mason can be the best player in Kentucky’s 2024 class if he stays healthy and keeps developing.
Ritter’s AAU teammate, Dayton is primed for a big season at Butler after seeing several good 2022 prospects graduate this spring. Williams is long and lanky with a good handle and above average athleticism. He’s a slightly below average shooter from three but does his best work when attacking off the bounce and shoots well enough to keep defenses honest.
Jaylen has recently earned his first two scholarship offers and seems like he is turning the corner in his development. Ellis has come a long way since he was an awkward freshman that was thrown into the fire at the varsity level. An above average rim protector and rebounder, the 6’7 center knows exactly what he is and plays his role well.
Godfrey, like Ellis, is another player that has really developed in the last 18 months or so. As he has slowed down his growth, Jeremiah’s coordination has come a long way and he should be a true X factor for a Great Crossing squad that has some lofty expectations and championship goals this year.
