Friery is a prospect just scratching the surface after playing JV as a freshman for the Wildcats. Friery is one of the youngest players in Ohio’s 2025 class and played up with the Ohio Rebels, winning the AAU national championship at the 16 U level. Friery has also impressed with the Wildcats this summer, excelling at live period events in Philly and Sandusky. Friery is a long wing forward who shoots it at a high level off the catch and uses his long strides to attack closeouts. Friery is one of my favorite long term bets in Ohio’s 2025 class as the talent is obvious and I’m projecting a big breakout this winter.
Bundalo is a prospect I saw in the final game of his freshman year and saw some intriguing flashes in the brief minutes he appeared in. Bundalo really impressed with Wildcats Select 15 U this summer, showing off his rim protection, toughness and skill around the basket. Bundalo has long arms and the body to become a threatening shot-blocker over the next couple years. I’m excited to watch Bundalo continue to mature as a prospect and develop his game. I expect mid major programs to take a look at him next spring and summer very closely.
Being patient with young bigs is a must and Clemmons is an example of a prospect I’m being patient with after a freshman season on JV. I watched Clemmons in Kentucky during the June live period and was really impressed with the progress he’d made since the spring. Clemmons is legit 6’8, 6’9 with long arms and a fluffy body that can add strength and size. Clemmons also shoots an easy ball from the outside, capable of making shots. Clemmons is a work in progress but the size and shooting ability have me buying in that he’ll continue to figure out the rest of the skills needed to be a more impactful player. Clemmons is projected to start for a Fairfield squad hoping to defend their GMC crown, that varsity experience will be huge for the development of Clemmons.
Hairston is a prospect who got a lot of buzz as a middle schooler and only played a little as a freshman before leaving Licking Heights and transferring to Central Crossing. Hairston picked up some momentum this summer and just came off an impressive performance at the CP3 camp in North Carolina this past weekend. Hairston is a long lefty wing forward who is athletic and can shoot it. I hope to see Hairston make a big impact at the varsity level next season.
