Jaquan Johnson Jaquan Johnson 5'10" | PG Pius XI | 2024 State WI — PG — Pius XI
Standing at just 5-foot-9, you wouldn’t think that Johnson would be a deadly offensive weapon. But let me tell you, he is. The point guard plays much bigger than his size. Playing for Wisconsin Playground Club this past AAU season, I was very impressed with Johnson’s motor. It didn’t matter what the scoreboard showed, the PG was always giving it his all. He will no-doubt impress this fall/winter
Tim Franks Tim Franks 6'5" | SG Homestead | 2024 State WI — SG — Homestead
Franks was maybe the most consistent prospect that I had the opportunity to watch this past AAU season. It didn’t matter who his team was matched up against, the shooting guard always found a way to perform at a very high level. Franks is an outstanding shooter and finisher around the rim. He can get buckets in multiple different ways. The SG was one of my favorite players to watch during the AAU period.
Cody Schmitz Cody Schmitz 6'4" | SG Gale Ettrick-Trempeleau | 2024 State WI — SG — Gale Ettrick-Trempeleau
Schmitz was able to put up some unbelievably impressive stat lines this past high school season. And in the spring/summer, the shooting guard proved that he is the real deal. Schmitz is a true three-level scorer who presents a major matchup problem for opposing defenders. He is able to convert on outside shots or use his size and strength to finish over smaller defenders in the paint.
Theo Schofield Theo Schofield 6'5" | PF Waterloo | 2024 State WI — PF — Sun Prairie
Schofield is a physical force. There are not too many prospects his age who are able to use size and strength in the ways that Schofield does. The power forward is just too big and strong for many opposing defenders. Schofield is also a tremendous defender. He rebounds really well and can block shots. Moving forward, I expect Schofield to make a big leap this season.
Amari McCottry Amari McCottry 6'5" | SF St. Thomas More | 2024 State #304 Nation WI — SF — St. Thomas More
Pound for pound one of the most talented players in his class, I love watching McCottry compete. The St. Thomas More standout is an outstanding athlete who uses his physical gifts to dominate on the court. McCottry is a great slasher who can get downhill and finish well at the rim. The small forward has all of the skills to become a huge star at the next level.
Stevie Clark Stevie Clark 6'6" | SF Oshkosh North | 2024 State #322 Nation WI — SF — Oshkosh North
Clark is a very well-rounded prospect. Everything that he does is so solid. The small forward can score well at all three levels, is a great passer, and very competitive on the defensive end. Clark already has the attention of some top college programs. And if he is able to put together a solid junior season, I expect many more coaches to recruit the SF.
