Peyton Taylor is a smaller guard who makes up for his lack of size with great instincts on the defensive and elite athleticism. Peyton is a unique defender who is very good on and off of the ball. When defending off the ball, he has excellent instincts to jump passing lanes for steals and can finish fastbreaks with explosive throw-downs. Peyton gets low to the ground on the ball and uses great lateral quickness to lockdown guards.
Tyler Brown is another small guard who is one of the best on-ball defenders in the state. Tyler is often matched up against the opposing teams’ best guard and does a great job staying glued to their hip. He is a player that opponents must keep a tight dribble around or else he can pick their pocket. On the offensive end of the floor, Tyler is a good two-guard who moves nicely around the three-point line for spot-up jumpers.
Nathan Davies last year was one of the top shot-blockers in the state averaging 3.5 blocks a game. Nathan is a lengthy 6’7 and does a very good job of manning the paint for his team. He is not the quickest player on the floor but has good instincts blocking shots when playing help defense. Nathan also uses that length to pull down plenty of rebounds. On the offensive end, he is able to stretch the floor and knock down three-point shots when left open.
Christian Seifert last year averaged 5 blocks per game, the second highest average in the state. Christian is a lengthy 6’7 center with super long arms that he uses to batter away plenty of shots. While averaging 5 blocks, his impact was much bigger, scaring defenders away from the rim by showing his long arms. At the rim, he is one of the top rim protectors in the state, and on the offensive end, he is still a raw prospect but is a solid finisher at the rim.
