SCBCA #SCLive 2022 – Young Lads

This year event had just over 100 teams in attendance at the SCBCA #SCLive 2022 event in Rock Hill. The NCAA Certified event took place at the Rock Hill Sports & Event Center. Where do we start from this past weekend’s action? Let’s take a look at some members from the 2026-2027 class right here on your source for basketball coverage in the Palmetto State. 

Tre Raymon Tre Raymon 6'7" | SF South Pointe | 2026 State SC – South Pointe HS (Rock Hill) (pictured on front)

Raymon has already gathered interest from NCAA D1 programs and rightly so. Tre has a good skill set and versatility already for his age. He can knockdown perimeter jumpers and next minute take the ball to the rack and finish with authority. Tre runs with Team Charlotte 16U on the Grassroots Circuit. 

Mike Jones Mike Jones 5'9" | SG Indian Land | 2026 State SC – Indian Land HS (Fort Mill) 

Jones made the move over from nearby Comenius to play for the Warriors this coming season for new Head Coach LJ Johnson. Mike is a very shifty guard who can really pack a punch from the backcourt. Jones has a quick set of hands to cause havoc in the front court when he’s not dropping jumpers all over the floor. 

Elton Smith Elton Smith 6'8" | PF Cardinal Newman | 2026 State SC – Keenan HS 

WOW! – Mr. Smith already has a good look and frame to him for his age. Elton has great length and a presence to him already for his age. He moves around the floor so freely while making plays on both ends.  

A.J. Washington A.J. Washington 6'3" | SG Fort Mill | 2026 State SC – Fort Mill HS 

Washington runs on the Grassroots Circuit with B Maze Elite. A.J. is a crafty guard who can get the ball to the cup with authority. He really shows to have good body control and demeanor on the floor already for his age. 

Mikey Williams Jr Mikey Williams Jr 5'11" | PG Riverside | 2026 State SC – Riverside HS 

Williams runs the show for the Warriors from the backcourt. Mikey sure doesn’t lack confidence at all when he plays the game in attack mode at times. Williams was able to score the ball from all 3-levels today while we caught him playing this weekend. 

Ja’Quell Brown Ja’Quell Brown 5'11" | CG Goose Creek | 2026 State SC – Goose Creek HS

Brown sure doesn’t backdown from anyone with his play. Jaquell has been thrown in the mix for the Class 5A Gators and Head Coach Blake Hall. He does a nice job of touching the paint and penetrating-kicking to an open mate. 

Desmond Harrington Desmond Harrington 6'7" | PF Cardinal Newman | 2027 SC – Eau Claire HS 

Desmond is just 14 years and still looks to be growing that’s for sure for the Shamrocks. Harrington plays down in the middle of the paint and really understands what his job is to do. Desmond patrols the middle and keeps the ball up high after rebounding it. 

Khristian Bruce Khristian Bruce 5'8" | PG Wilson | 2026 SC – West Florence HS 

Bruce made the move over from nearby South Florence HS. Khristian likes to let it fly from downtown when given the opportunity.

BJ Brown BJ Brown 6'1" | SG Sumter | 2026 State SC . – Sumter HS 

Brown nicknamed “BJ” is the son of Gamecocks Head Coach Bryan Brown. BJ has a good feel for the game already and in the process was able to knockdown some perimeter jumpers today. 

Rickey Littlejohn III Rickey Littlejohn III 5'9" | PG Gaffney | 2027 SC (2027) – Gaffney HS 

Rickey had no fear playing out here this weekend for the Indians. Littlejohn really provided good leadership from the backcourt and showed a good willingness to rebound the ball from his position.
