A prototypical combo guard who’s steadily been moving up the totem pole, Isaiah White Isaiah White 6'5" | CG Everett | 2024 State WA continues to impress at the events I’ve seen him at during the spring. Playing alongside other strong guards for both Everett High and Team Rotary has helped him contribute both on and off the ball at an elite level. He’s got a big bag of scoring moves, especially in the mid range off the bounce, where he can score at will. He’s quick with the ball and a capable 3-point jump shooter. Defensively, he has the physical tools to bother shots and he competes and seems much improved on that end.
22. Peter Dress Peter Dress 6'6" | SG Kamiakin | 2024 State WA , 6’5, Guard/Forward, Kamiakin, Hooptown Elite
After a stellar sophomore year at Kamiakin, Peter Dress Peter Dress 6'6" | SG Kamiakin | 2024 State WA has continued to be equally impressive over the spring for Hooptown. What pops out most about him is his shooting ability from the wing and corner 3. He’s extremely active off the ball while hunting for his shot, and he’s more than capable of putting the ball on the ground off the catch and squeezing past defenders to the basket. Although he is not an elite athlete, per say, his finishing ability is pretty to watch, using pump fakes and angles to get to his spots while pairing it with a shooter’s touch around the hoop.
23. Mason Thomas Mason Thomas 6'1" | SG Federal Way | 2024 State WA , 6’1, Guard, Franklin Pierce, Seattle Rotary
A scorer inside the key and an improving jump shooter, Thomas is an athletic lefty guard who loves to get into the paint and finish. An All-League pick last season, he flew under the radar with FP and showed some of those skills over the spring and he landed inside our top 25. He is a gifted attacker in the half court and uses his long arms to gain leverage against shot blockers, and he is always a threat to get to the free throw line.
24. Luvens Valcin Luvens Valcin 6'2" | SG Auburn | 2024 State WA , 6’2, Forward/Guard, Auburn, Seattle Rotary
An impact player and a freak athlete, Valcin has a strong body and is a pinball when he drives the lane. He’s as explosive as they come when he gets downhill and brings a lot of intangibles to his game. His leaping ability is off the charts, he loves contact, and players have to be ready to run with him if they want a chance at stopping him at the rim in the open court. His size allows him to be an underrated rebounder for his position and he crashes the glass against opposing bigs. There should be a huge opportunity for him to showcase even more as one of the key returners from Auburn’s state title group.
25. Tait Spencer Tait Spencer 6'3" | SG Great Futures Prep | 2025 State WA , 6’3, Guard, Battle Ground, Team Stuck
Spencer’s playmaking ability is something that separates him from the rest of the bunch. He’s a strong left-handed shooter with range and has the strength to ward off defenders in heavy traffic. Tait can operate on the perimeter and break defenders down off the dribble, collapses the D, and is an excellent decision maker when driving the lane. He can make the extra pass, pull up from 10-15 feet, convert the floater, and has a killer step back from deep even with hands in his face. He will go bucket-for-bucket for his team when he needs to, but seeing him with a loaded Team Stuck roster, he fit in as an all-around off-ball guard.
