Kelcy Phipps, 2023, Bishop Montgomery – Phipps is a measured point guard who plays with a high IQ and can manage the pace of a game with scoring or distributing. The 6-foot-2 junior has a good combination of size, strength and speed which he uses to his advantage when getting downhill in transition and creating space to finish around the basket. Phipps is also a perimeter shooting threat off the catch.
Mister Burnside, 2024, Paraclete – Burnside was another prospect who played with good pace and poise in a setting where prospects are usually focused on getting their game off. The 6-foot-2 combo guard has an aggressive scoring mindset when attacking the basket off the dribble and uses his broad shoulders and strong base to make defenders bounce off his drives and get an angle for a paint bucket.
Robert Hinton Robert Hinton 6'4" | CG Harvard-Westlake | 2024 State #147 Nation CA-S , 2024, Harvard-Westlake – Hinton was named one of three MVPs of the event and it was easy to see why. The 6-foot-4 guard is a shifty playmaker off the bounce for himself and teammates. His dynamic athleticism, change of speed and pace on a dime, and burst into the paint makes him a tough cover for perimeter defenders. Hinton had a couple of impressive dunks, but what stands out most about his game is how he plays hard and plays the right way in any setting.
Shamar Jones, 2025, Southern California Academy – Jones is a very good isolation scorer with his ability to get defenders off-balance and create space on the perimeter to get off an open shot. At 6-feet-4 with a strong frame and good athleticism in space, Jones has an explosive first step out of the triple threat and uses his strength to bully his way into the lane for paint finishes.
Trent Perry, 2024, Harvard-Westlake – Perry is one of the best pure shooters in the Southland and this camp was no different. The 6-foot-3 shooting guard is near-automatic off the catch when given time and space and utilizes an effective shot fake to release from hard closeouts for a pull-up or one-dribble side-step three-point shot. Perry, along with his high school teammate Robert Hinton Robert Hinton 6'4" | CG Harvard-Westlake | 2024 State #147 Nation CA-S , was one of the three camp MVPs.
