Josiah Jones Josiah Jones 6'0" | CG St. Patrick-St. Vincent | 2024 CA-N 5’10 2024 PG of St. Patrick-St. Vincent HS
A strong, fast, and athletic guard that’s fearless challenging the big man at the rim. He’s in constant attack mode, whether it’s in transition, or in half court. He has superb ball handling skills, with a nice cross over move, and a consistent mid-range jump shot he’ll hit. He’s a CG with this group, because of his scoring abilities. He’s a disruptive on ball defender, with quick hands to generate steals.
Jaylen Wheeler Jaylen Wheeler 6'2" | PG Fremont Oakland | 2024 State CA-N 6’3 2024 CG of Salesian College Prep HS (PIctured)
A no nonsense combo guard who can impact a game with his abilities. He’s a rising prospect in the 2024 class. He has a good set of handles, and speed to create his shots from different areas off the dribble, including the mid-range. His change of gears, and direction with the ball are noticeable. He’s hard to contain in the open court. He can run the point. He has good flow to his game. He’s on Wright’s Watch list.
Lakai Assefa 6’3 2024 SG of Dougherty Valley HS
An aggressive guard with good hops and intensity. He lights up in the transition game filling lanes, getting to the rim for finishes, and possible dunks. He’ll pull up for 3’s in transition. He showed he could handle the point if needed in half-court sets. He had good patience, and penetration off the dribble. He’s on the Wright’s Watch list.
Johnnie Jones 6’2 2025 G/F of Fairfield HS
His long arms, good strength, and hops help him defend in the post area at the 16u level. He has good footspeed, and lateral movement to defend on the perimeter, and in the open court. He was good getting up high, finishing around the basket, and working for rebounds. He can hit the short corner jumper along the baseline. He’s on the Wright’s Watch list
Reuben Lewis 6’3 W/F 2024 of Modesto HS
He’s an active player with long arms and good footspeed on the defensive side of the ball. His length, energy, and footspeed makes him a good player to use on top in trapping situations. His handles, and passing were good in transition, and on the perimeter. He’s a good court runner who can fill the lanes in transition. At the 16U level, he’s active in the post defending, and going after rebounds. He’s on the Wright’s Watch list.
Owen Bugas 5’11 PG, SG 2024 of Archie Williams HS
He looks like a pass first point guard with this group. His passes were decisive, and on point. He showed good patience running the offense in the half-court. He moves well off the ball, making himself available for a pass cutting through the paint, and looking to spot up for 3’s on the perimeter.
Jonah Forrest 6’0 SG 2024 of Vanden HS
He plays hard on the defensive side of the ball with good intensity, and lateral movement. The lefty has a good shot from the 3-point line, and he can finish going strong to his left.
Jordan Assefa 6’4 F 2025 of Dougherty Valley HS
He has work to do, he has a good upside to his game. He’s long, with good length in the post area, he goes after rebounds, and put backs. He’ll defend his position in the post area at this level. He has good hands, and is ready for the dump off pass.
