2023 Rankings Updates: Top Point Guards

<p>The 2023 class is the most loaded we have seen for a while and there is depth at every position group. Here’s a look a the top point guards in the Junior Class. This list does not include players who were in the top 10 of the class.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="932769" first="Dallas" last="Roberts"], North Oldham - Roberts is a high IQ point who can create his own offense or get others involved. The runner up for 8th region player of the year, Dallas excels at getting paint touches where he can finish at the rim or create open looks for teammates by drawing help defenders. He has an early offer from Georgetown College and should draw D1 interest this summer.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="932772" first="Jack" last="Edelen"], Male - Jack had a big bounce back season at Male after transferring from Ballard over the summer and missing his Sophomore season due to injury. Edelen is the engine that makes Male go when he's got the ball in his hands and he's one of the best in the state at making difficult shots look easy. He has a big summer ahead and will hope to stack multiple scholarship offers.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="932774" first="Zee" last="McCown"], PRP - One of the best players in the Derby City, Zee can run his team or can go and get a bucket from about anywhere on the court. He lacks ideal size at the point guard spot but McCown is quick and knows how to use angles to score over bigger players when he gets to the rim. Watch for Zee to earn more college offer this summer.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="932780" first="Grant" last="Whitaker"], Murray - Whitaker is a bit of an unknown because he plays in the first region and plays AAU out of state but he'll have a chance to impress at Rupp Arena next week. Grant is one of the state's leading scorers and has proved he can do it against tough competition. The big guard can finish in traffic thanks to his 6'4 frame. He claimed an early offer from Kennesaw Sate but will look for more this summer.</p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="1065569" first="Meechie" last="White"], Male - White should be a point guard at the next level even though he plays off the ball a lot for the Bulldogs. Meehie is a really good athlete. He runs like a deer and takes off in traffic with little regard for his safety.
