The season is only a week and a half old but there have already been some big time performances across the state. Here’s a look at some of the top performers so far in the season.

[player_tooltip player_id="932766" first="Gabe" last="Sisk"], Ballard - Ballard is off to a good start at 3-1 and Sisk is a big reason why. The Junior is averaging 24 points per game on 53-45-82 shooting splits and 6 rebounds per game. Gabe appears to be on a mission to impress high major coaches and get some new offers to go with his current offers from Iona and EKU.

[player_tooltip player_id="801588" first="Justin" last="Becker"], Robertson County - You won’t find many players in the state who can match up with Becker statistically after 4 games in his Senior season. Probably the most valuable player in the state to his team, Justin is averaging 34 points and 13 rebounds per game while shooting 58% from the field. The smallest school in the state could be home to 2022’s Mr Basketball if he keeps putting up those numbers.

[player_tooltip player_id="1343493" first="Christian" last="Doerr"], DuPont Manual - Doerr is a new name to me and wasn’t in our latest rankings update but that will change soon. The Sophomore is off to a hot start, averaging 21 points and 6 rebounds per game while shooting 65% from the field through a 3-0 start for the Crimson.

[player_tooltip player_id="926895" first="Cade" last="Stinnett"], Greenwood - The Gators are off to a 4-0 start and Cade is a large reason why. The 6’3 Senior has been impressive in averaging 26 points per game but also out-dueled Reed Shepard and North Laurel over the weekend with 33 points in a big road win.

Others Making an Impression (no order):

[player_tooltip player_id="1110323" first="Vince" last="Dawson"], Great Crossing - Averaging 18 per game on almost 60% shooting

[player_tooltip player_id="1123543" first="Hayden" last="Blakeman"], Green County - Averaging 24 and 7 on 61% shooting

[player_tooltip player_id="939116" first="Trent" last="Noah"], Harlan County - Tied school record with 39 points in opening game of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id="939117" first="Travis" last="Perry"], Lyon County - Set a personal best with 43 points in the season opener.

[player_tooltip player_id="939382" first="Blake" last="Reed"] and [player_tooltip player_id="1149267" first="Cayden" last="Reed"], Bracken County - Guard duo is averaging 46 points combined through 3 games.

[player_tooltip player_id="932775" first="Jaylen" last="Davis"], Madison Central - Pushing to be the best shooter in 2023. Shooting 59% from 3 and making over 4 per game. 100% from FT line.

[player_tooltip player_id="932764" first="Kaleb" last="Glenn"], Male - Putting up 22 and 14 per night against a tough schedule and shooting 63% from the field.
