Steve Quattrocchi | Prep Hoops Scout
Another unsigned player who is sitting on a D1 offer (from EKU), Jaylen was named 11th region Co-Player of the year and a finalist for Mr Basketball. Davis is long and athletic and has range out long past the college three point line. At 6’5, Davis can play with the ball in his hands or be a catch and shoot wing.

This was my second time seeing Davis and he was much improved. Played extremely hard and was aggressive looking to score. His length and athleticism was a problem for defenders, especially when he attacked the offensive glass. Did a good job getting to the rim and finishing in traffic. If he can build off this weeks performance and continue to be aggressive, Madison Central has a chance to not only get to state, but win it all.

One of the more under-recruited players in the class, Davis holds an offer from Eastern Kentucky and could end up committing there any time now. Jaylen is long and athletic and is a really good shooter at over 40% from three. He is dangerous off the bounce and plays with the game with a certain swagger to him.

It seems like Jaylen has been playing for Madison Central for a decade! He’s a sniper from deep and has improved exponentially off the dribble since his freshman season. Some college will get a steal with Davis on signing day.

One of the better shooters in the class, Jaylen has been starting for Madison Central for several years and is coming off a strong summer on the 3SSB circuit with EAB. His game continues to improve as Davis has become a better slasher over his high school career. He should sign D1 this fall or next spring.
