The Junior class rankings have expanded all the way out to nearly 130 players already. This is possibly the best class of prospects since Prep Hoops Kentucky launched. A dozen prospects already have D1 offers and twice that many could have D1 offers a year from now. Here’s a look at the best point guards in the updated 2023 Rankings.

[player_tooltip player_id="932769" first="Dallas" last="Roberts"], North Oldham - One of the best scoring point guards at the high school level, Roberts is a highly skilled point who can create offense for himself or teammates. Dallas has a high IQ and excels at getting paint touches where he can finish around the rim or create open looks for teammates.

[player_tooltip player_id="932780" first="Grant" last="Whitaker"], Murray - Grant has the same type game as Roberts. He’s a bigger point guard that is at his best when he gets into the paint and can create offense. Whitaker’s name is not as well known as many on the list because he plays in far western Kentucky and plays AAU out of state but he should be mentioned along with the best in the class.

[player_tooltip player_id="932772" first="Jack" last="Edelen"], Male - Edelen is one of the most talented tough shot makers in the state. Jack is capable of controlling a game as a distributor or acting as a microwave scorer who can get going quickly. Jack and [player_tooltip player_id="1065569" first="Meechie" last="White"] will make a tough backcourt and should keep Male right at the top of the 7th region this season.

[player_tooltip player_id="1065569" first="Meechie" last="White"], Male - Meechie is long and athletic with the ability to affect the game on both ends of the court. White is more of a slasher than a shooter and his ultimate ceiling as a college prospect likely depends on if he can become a more consistent shooter from range but he would be a good player to buy stock in before the season.

[player_tooltip player_id="932785" first="Jamal" last="Chambers"], Western - Unfortunately, Jamal will miss his Junior season after an ACL tear but should be back close to 100% by summer AAU, if not before. Chambers is a shifty guard with a good motor and a knack for making big plays at big moments. Hopefully he’ll be back on the court soon.
