Here’s a look at the NC Good Better Best Academy National squad that’s set to make a splash. They’re playing a competitive national schedule in 2021-22.

2022

[player_tooltip player_id="1307614" first="Lureon" last="Walker"] | 6’4 Guard/Wing

Walker is probably one of the more underrated names on the squad given his ability to operate on both ends. He’s a big, strong guard that uses his length on both ends to make his presence felt. He can knock down shots with efficiency and finish with authority in the paint. He should be an X-Factor type guy on this team.

[player_tooltip player_id="932124" first="Broderick" last="Ellis II"] | 6’7 Forward

Ellis is a versatile forward that’s really improved his body and athleticism over the spring/summer. He’s got the ability to operate inside and out and is a lot more aggressive around the rim as a finisher. He’ll be an unsigned name to keep eyes on in this rotation.

[player_tooltip player_id="1280298" first="Willie" last="Lightfoot Jr"] | 6’0 Point Guard

Lightfoot plays with a ton of presence, especially on the defensive end, constantly forcing pressure on the ball. He’s got solid instincts as a lead guard and playmaker. He’ll be a solid addition to the Bowling Green rotation after this season.

2023

[player_tooltip player_id="1104961" first="Caden" last="Bell"] | 6’2 Guard

Bell is a combo guard that should add playmaking and defense to the NC GBBA backcourt. As they'll have plenty of guards, he's one that should set himself apart with his athleticism and ability to operate in the paint.

[player_tooltip player_id="854913" first="Jakel" last="Powell"] | 6’5 Wing/Guard

Powell is a growing name in the state of NC that joins this squad after spending last season at The Burlington School. He's a prospect that can take over with his ability to create off he bounce and shoot the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id="1115920" first="Keyon" last="Webb"] | 6’3 Point Guard

Webb is an underrecruited point guard that continues to improve his strength and prowess as a floor general. As he learns to be more vocal and lead the offense as a floor general, look for his recruitment to grow in the 2023 class.

[player_tooltip player_id="577885" first="Asa" last="White"] | 6’9 Forward/Center

White is an emerging big man that's developing as a rim presence on both ends of the floor. As he improves his presence around the rim offensively, look for his recruitment to grow with this group.

[player_tooltip player_id="1156050" first="Tichyque" last="Musaka"] | 6’11 Center

Musaka is a mobile big man that should take on the starting center role for this squad. As he improves his mobility and conditioning, he's a feature prospect to keep eyes on with high major offers on the table already.

[player_tooltip player_id="1156046" first="Jajuan" last="Nicholls"] | 6’9 Forward

Nicholls is just scratching the surface of what he’s capable of as a mobile big man. He’s got nice handles to go along with his shooting and passing ability. As he learns to play with pace, he’ll be one to track on this squad.

2024

[player_tooltip player_id="1272826" first="Jalik" last="Nicholls"] | 6’5 Guard/Wing

The younger Nicholls should be quite the perimeter threat with his ability to knock down 3s off the catch and off the bounce. As he improves his prowess on the defensive side of the ball, look for him to carve out a role for himself on this squad.
