Jacob Hand Jacob Hand 6'4" | SF Holy Cross | 2024 State KY , Louisville Holy Cross – Jacob has been hanging around in our top 10 2024s for a while now and he backed up his rankings on Saturday. He elevates with ease and had several nice dunks in transition. Hand also showed that he can be a lockdown defender when he wants to be. He’s got D1 upside and is one of the top 2024s in Kentucky.
Ian Hart Ian Hart 6'7" | PF McCracken County | 2023 State KY , McCracken County – Hart’s game is smooth. He gets to his spots and makes shots all over the court. Ian never got sped up in the half court and made minimal mistakes over the course of the day. If there was an award for most consistent player over 3 games, Ian is probably the pick.
Bradin Nelson Bradin Nelson 6'3" | PG Webster County | 2023 State KY , Webster County – Nelson had a slow start to the day as he was looking to get others involved instead of scoring the ball but over the last 2 and a half games of the day, Bradin was on the short list of best players at the camp. When he’s aggressive, the 6’3 guard is a scholarship level prospect for certain.
Marcus Eaves Marcus Eaves 6'4" | SF North Hopkins | 2023 State KY , Hopkins County Central – Eaves is an aggressive scorer with good length and athleticism. He had camp coaches buzzing with his highlight plays and how hard he was going in games. Marcus doesn’t get a ton of love because he’s so far into western Kentucky but he definitely left his stamp on our camp on Sunday.
Cole Sherman Cole Sherman 5'10" | PG St. Xavier | 2022 State KY , St. Xavier – Cole is coming off a huge AAU season and successful camp circuit and he was one of the best in the gym on Saturday. Sherman scored the ball at every level but also showed he’s a willing playmaker who gets the ball to teammates in the right spots. Cole needs to get a look from scholarship level schools in Kentucky and surrounding states.
Crew Gibson Crew Gibson 6'8" | PF DeSales | 2023 State KY , DeSales – Crew and his younger brother Will were both on the short list of top performers on Saturday but the older Gibson gets the nod on the top 10 list as he showed a well rounded skill set and ability to play with the ball in his hands a little bit. At 6’6 and probably still growing, Crew is an intriguing player that has a chance to earn some offers over the next 18 months or so.
Aden Nyekan Aden Nyekan 6'5" | SF Barren County | 2022 State KY , Barren County – Aden told me before camp started that he was probably only 90% back from his ACL tear but he looked much like his old self on Saturday. Nyekan is strong and an excellent finisher. He didn’t take a ton of perimeter jumpers but didn’t really need to as he was able to get to the rim and finish all day. Once he’s 100% back, the 4th region will be in trouble.
Trent Hinkle Trent Hinkle 5'11" | PG Western | 2023 State KY , Western – If Trent’s nickname isn’t already “The General”, it should be. Hinkle carries himself with a certain swagger on the floor and wasted no time barking out directions to teammates he had only just met on Saturday. He’s on the short list of best point guards in 2023 and should keep adding new offers over the next year.
Jay Rose Jay Rose 6'4" | SG Madison Southern | 2024 State KY , Madison Southern – Jay is a true three level scorer and looks like a future scholarship level player. He will certainly attempt to dunk on anyone that dares get in his way. In order to take the next step, Rose needs to keep improving his ball handling and especially trusting his left hand more but he’s got the tools and good size to be an impact player in the 11th this season.
Teagan Moore Teagan Moore 6'4" | SF Owen County | 2023 State KY , Owen County – The 6’5 wing is just as steady as they come. He never rushes or gets sped up. He shoots the ball with the same form every time. He impacts the game with rebounding and making good passes. Teagan has to be on the short list of best players in Kentucky that nobody mentions. He has D1 upside as a scoring wing.
