One of the better shooters in the mountains, Cole was the leading scorer at Harlan Independent earlier in his career and took a secondary role for Harlan County last year after a transfer. Now a Junior, Trent is shooting an impressive 47/48/78 on his way to averaging 19 points per game thus far. Also a willing passer, Cole has a chance to be one of the top players in the 13th region this season.

Primarily known as a shooter prior to this season, Trent is actually having a better season getting to the rim and scoring in the midrange than he’s had shooting the three. He and Kyler McClendon Kyler McClendon 6'1" | CG Harlan | 2024 State KY have to carry the offensive burden for Harlan but Cole is fulfilling the “Robin” role to McClendon’s “Batman” admirably and should be ready to step into the role of go to scorer starting next season.

Cole is a big time shooter and probably the best shooter on this particular list. Trent has a quick release and deep range on his jumper. I’d like to see Trent be more of a playmaker and creator with the ball in his hands as opposed to looking to score first but I’m sure Harlan relies on him to score the ball and it can be hard to switch gears sometimes. Regardless, Cole is a name to watch in the class, especially if he grows a couple inches.
