Robeson County and Team Northside are the two teams that remain undefeated and will match up on Tuesday to see who will take control of the #1 spot.
Team Rosehill Junior Wing Steven Lassiter Steven Lassiter 6'6" | PF The Burlington School | 2023 State NC : Week in and week out you know what you’re going to get from him on both ends of the floor. On the offensive side of the ball he scores at a high rate from midrange and inside the paint efficiently. Defensively he has the size and versatility to defend multiple positions, contest shots at the rim and is strong enough to defend bigs in the post.
Robeson County Senior Guard Jeyvian Tatum Jeyvian Tatum 6'3" | CG St Paul's | 2022 State NC : The scoring ability that we already knew about was on display as usual but we saw some flashes of defensive ability and even some new athletic ability. His stat line for the day of 18 Points, 4 Rebounds, 4 Assist and 5 Steals, showed how valuable he is to his team and how much of an impact he can make on both sides of the floor when he’s locked in.
Northside Junior Guard Isaiah Washington Isaiah Washington 6'5" | SG Winston-Salem Christian | 2024 State NC : After 3 games he holds the top spot in points per game, averaging over 25 points per contest, while leading his team to a record of 3-0. He can score the ball from all three levels and has shown that he can get to his spots on the court regardless of whatever defensive scheme that he may face.
The Dawgs Senior Forward Jackson Link: Leading the way at this point in the Most Improved Player Of the Year race, Link has been consistently good the past three weeks and is played his way into being a legit college prospect. He can shoot the deep ball, has improved with his ballhandling skills and looks comfortable with his back to the basket.
Bucks Sophomore Guard Jaylen Sturdivant Jaylen Sturdivant 6'4" | CG Hoke | 2024 State NC : He’s in complete control of the Rookie Of The Year race at this point, putting together solid scoring performances week in and week out. His team didn’t have a very competitive matchup this week but he contributed a team high of 16 Points, helping his team to get off to a nice start.
Westside Senior Wing Mikey Campbell Mikey Campbell 6'5" | SF Westover | 2022 State NC : Campbell put together one of his better performances this week ,impacting the game in numerous ways and helping his team to almost pull of the upset against Northside. He understands how to use his athletic ability to make an impact on games and should be a player that is on the radar of college coaches.
The Life Junior Guard Kaleb James: Has consistently been a player that provides a nice amount of offense for his team and will be a player that college coaches will want to keep an eye on. He has a quick first step, nice athletic ability and potential to be special if he continues to work and becomes more aggressive when he attacks the basket.
