John Mccrear John Mccrear 6'8" | PF Woodfard | 2023 State #219 Nation KY , Lexington Catholic –> Woodford County – McCrear arrived in Lexington in January and enrolled at Catholic before ultimately making the move to Woodford this summer. John has as much long term upside as anyone in the state but his Junior season will be a big one to show his production can catch up to his potential. He should be a matchup problem for every school in the 8th region.
Christian Collins Christian Collins 6'8" | PF Breathitt County | 2023 State KY , Buckhorn –> Breathitt County – Collins sat out last season after transferring from Buckhorn but will be a major factor this season. He has already scored over 1000 points in his high school career and will take advantage of SB 128 and moved from 2022 to 2023. On the court, Christian has high level length and athleticism and can be a D1 caliber prospect when his motor is running.
Hagan Harrison Hagan Harrison 6'1" | CG Madison Central | 2023 KY , Montgomery County –> Madison Central – Another 22 to 23 mover who also changed schools over the summer, Hagan was the biggest source of offense for Montgomery County the past couple of seasons but should see a big boost in efficiency at Madison Central as he’ll get a lot more open looks than he’s seen in the last few years thanks to a talented roster for the Indians.
Ryan Rose Ryan Rose 6'8" | C Johnson Central | 2023 State KY , Prestonsburg –> Johnson Central – Johnson Central has lacked a true post player for years but that changes with the arrival of Rose. Standing 6’8 and pretty mobile, Ryan should be a matchup issue for most region foes and gives JC a more realistic chance to win a game or two if they can make it back to Rupp in March.
