I took in 20 games and here is a look at my top stock risers in the 16U division.
2024 6-7 G/F Sammie Yeanay Sammie Yeanay 6'7" | PF AZ Compass Prep | 2024 State #98 Nation AZ – Ocala Impact
Yeanay is a special talent. He has endless potential as an active attacker, rebounder and ball handler. Yeanay is an impressive athlete who had 18 points for Ocala Impact in a loss to Bad Boys Basketball. A confident and finesse player, he goes hard for boards and can attack the rim with ease. The sky is the limit for our No. 9 ranked 2024 prospect from North Marion.
2024 5-10 G Jameson Young – Team TMac
Young was the most consistent scorer all weekend for a speedy and put-together Team TMac squad. He finishes well around the rim and can score in a variety of ways with lay-ins. He was instrumental in a huge comeback victory over Team Speights on Sunday afternoon. The Auburndale guard plays with endless energy and purpose.
2023 6-1 G Kervin Knaggs Kervin Knaggs 6'1" | PG Auburndale | 2023 State FL – Team TMac
Coming off a breakout season for Auburndale, Knaggs is on the rise as a top point guard out of Polk County. He doesn’t need to score often to be effective. Knaggs gets everyone involved with high IQ passing and he can dig in fly by defenders with his handles and speed. Knaggs is a special player.
2023 6-5 G Karmello Branch Karmello Branch 6'3" | SF Tampa Catholic | 2023 State FL – Team Speights
Branch led the charge as the main point guard for Team Speights in the Sunday loss to Team TMac. The Tampa Catholic guard showed well, making smart decisions in transition and opened up the passing lanes with his jumper. Branch had 11 points and is poised to breakout more this summer with more high-scoring tilts.
2023 6-3 G Bryce Clayton – For The Love
There might not be a harder working squad than For The Love 2023. They went 4-0 this weekend alongside its 2022 squad and Clayton was a huge reason why the 2023 squad excelled at a high level in the 16U division. He added 22 points, not even playing most of the second half in a win over Bad Boys Basketball on Saturday. He can flat out shoot it. Clayton plays with confidence and has nice leadership skills.
2023 6-5 G Chandler Davis Chandler Davis 6'3" | CG Wharton | 2023 State FL – Team Speights
Davis hit the game-winning 3-pointer with 20 seconds left in the opening night of the event against the Florida Suns Black. A well-put-together athlete, the Wharton guard finished with 11 points in the game. He has a nice game and certainly has the tools to be a steady double-digit scorer game in and game out for Team Speights.
