Samir Thomas Samir Thomas 6'3" | CG Patrick School | 2024 State NJ , 6’3 CG PSA Cardinals 15U
Thomas was in attack mode from the opening tip as he played a big role in PSA Cardinals’ win in the 15U platinum final. The 6’3 guard was decisive attacking the basket as he was able to get to his spot on the floor with ease. Thomas was comfortable with the ball in his hands and was unfazed by the on-ball pressure. He made smart decisions with the ball in his hands and made an impact on the defensive end by getting deflections. Thomas should be in store for a big summer AAU season if he can maintain his play from Championship Sunday at the NJ Jam Fest.
Jon Spatola, 5’8 PG Jersey Force Select 17U
Spatola was part of both Jersey Force 17U squads who took home championships and he played a key role in both games. The 5’8 point guard has a nice handle and knows how to finish against size around the basket. Spatola is more than just a driver as he has a good mid-range jumper and can knock down shots from behind the arc. He slid his feet well on the defensive end and made solid passes throughout the day. Spatola is a gamer who does what it takes to help his team win, like they did on Sunday.
Isaiah Alexander, 6’7 SF Team Rio University 17U
Alexander had a strong showing on Championship Sunday as he played a key role for them in both games. The 6’7 forward was tough to keep off the glass as he continued to keep possessions alive on the offensive end. Alexander showed off his defensive versatility on multiple occasions as he was able to effectively defend the ball off screens. He attacked the basket with a purpose and was unafraid of drawing contact. Alexander’s ability to make an impact on both ends of the floor is something that will only help his game moving forward.
Mouhamed Dioubate Mouhamed Dioubate 6'7" | PF Putnam Science Academy | 2023 State #103 Nation NLG , 6’7 SF PSA Cardinals 16U
Dioubate was making plays all over the place on Sunday as he left his mark on the 16U platinum final. The 6’7 lefty drove hard to the basket all game and knows how to finish with authority above the rim. Dioubate has a nice release on his jumper and is quite comfortable knocking down shots in the mid-range. His combination of length and athleticism caused fits for opponents in the final as he got several steals and deflections. Dioubate is a talented wing prospect who should only continue to see his stock rise with more performances like that.
Cam Snowden Cam Snowden 6'5" | PF Franklin | 2023 State NJ , 6’4 SF/PF NJ Bulldogs 16U
Snowden was giving up a ton of size down low, but he was still able to make an impact for the NJ Bulldogs in the 16U platinum final. The 6’4 forward was able to get position in the paint and scored with a nice hook shot early in the game. Snowden did not force the issue on offense and shot the ball with confidence from the mid-range. He fought for rebounds on both ends of the floor and rarely took a play off when he was on the floor. Snowden’s motor and post touch is something that will only help his game improve as he continues to grow as a player.
