Amari Odom Amari Odom 6'3" | CG Panther Creek | 2023 State NC | 6’2 Point Guard | Jordan
Odom had a strong grassroots season alongside Jaybron Harvey Jaybron Harvey 6'5" | PF Southern Durham | 2023 State NC with Team HoopState. He showed off his ability to distribute the ball and knock down the 3-ball while also creating off the bounce. He’ll be a name to watch as a bigger contributor on the varsity level in 2020-21 after appearing sparingly as a freshman.
Elijah Strong Elijah Strong 6'8" | PF Myers Park | 2023 State #230 Nation NC | 6’8 Forward/Center | Myers Park
Strong will lead a strong crop of 2023 prospects in the Myers Park rotation with potential to breakout on the varsity level. He put up 7.3 ppg, 4.0 rpg and 1.0 bpg in 2019-20 in the varsity rotation and had a strong summer showing off his ability to be a presence in the paint on both ends and stretch the floor with his shooting. He’ll be one to watch in the paint and is a new face to track with a versatile skill set at 6-foot-8.
JJ Moore JJ Moore 5'9" | PG Quality Education | 2024 NC | 6’0 Point Guard | Huss
Moore is a floor general that’s fun to watch with his shifty ballhandling, playmaking and shooting skills at the point guard spot. He’s another 2023 prospect that did well on the varsity level in 2019-20, posting 9.1 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 2.8 spg and 2.5 apg as Huss went 26-5 and 11-1 in conference action. They’ll return Moore alongside a few other names that should make them worth watching in 2020-21.
James Swindell III James Swindell III 6'3" | SF Caldwell Academy | 2024 State NC | 6’3 Forward/Wing | Westchester Christian
Swindell is a wiry prospect that had a strong showing at Westchester Christian in 2019-20. He’s a versatile prospect that can get rebounds on the defensive end and become an instant threat on offense with his speed and athleticism in the open floor. He was an All-State selection after putting up 22 ppg and 11 rpg, showing off his ability to do it all for his squad. He’ll be a breakout name to watch in North Carolina’s 2023 class.
Chase Dawson Chase Dawson 5'10" | PG Cary Academy | 2023 State NC | 5’10 Point Guard | Cary Academy
Dawson is an electric combo guard prospect that made waves this past summer while winning MVP honors for his respective age group. He’s relentless getting to the paint and finishing in traffic and developing quite the range as a shooter on the perimeter. He’s also quite the playmaker as well. He put up 16 ppg and 3 apg in 2019-20 as a freshman on varsity. He’ll be one of a few names to watch at Cary Academy in 2020-21.
Xavier Tubbs Xavier Tubbs 6'1" | PG Spire Institute | 2024 OH | 6’0 Guard | Trinity Christian
Matthews is already making waves on the football field for Trinity Christian. He’s averaging 140.0 all-purpose yards per contest and scored eight touchdowns through four games on the gridiron. On the hardwood, he put up 7.1 ppg, 1.1 apg and 1.0 rpg in 2019-20, showing off his ability to shoot the 3-pointer (16-of-44, 36%) and create off the dribble. He’s an athletic combo guard that plays to win when he’s on the floor, something he did a lot of this past summer with Team Charlotte . He holds an offer from Bryant already with more soon to come.
