He can knock down shots at the high-post and on the perimeter and in the post, he’s even more of a lethal threat as a passer. He finished up his high school career at Myers Park High on a high note as they won the NCHSAA 4A State Title as he put up 15.4 ppg, 5.4 rpg, 1.6 apg and 1.1 spg to close out his high school career. He’s a surefire DI prospect that’s recently earned offers from the likes of Boston College, George Mason, St. Bonaventure, among others to add to his ever growing list of offers. He’s a prospect that should bolster a frontcourt for years to come with his mobility and ability to pass out of the post.

Elijah Strong Elijah Strong 6'8" | PF Myers Park | 2023 State #230 Nation NC moves into the second spot in the rankings following Myers Park High’s first state title victory in school history this past Sunday. Strong showed off his ability to pass out of the post and finish around the rim as he finished with 18 points, seven rebounds and two assists in their state final victory over Richmond County. He’s one of the top available seniors in the state after de-committing from Wofford University a few months ago and should draw a ton of high-major and mid-major interest going forward.

The Mustangs will look to him early on to establish himself inside the paint offensively as he’s done so many times before this season. Clearly, he will have the height advantage on Saturday and will look to exploit that advantage early and often.

Strong recently decommitted from Wofford College and interest has never been higher for the versatile big man at Myers Park High. He’s putting up 15.6 ppg, 4.9 rpg, 1.4 apg and 1.1 spg in the Mustangs’ frontcourt this season, proving to be a bruiser around the rim and a solid shooting threat as he’s shooting 63 percent from the field. He’s a forward prospect that schools in the area and surrounding areas need to be on.
