Tyus Wilson 6’8- Kansas Kings, 2021
Tyus Wilson was a big reason that the Kansas Kings were able to make it to the championship game. Tyus is an agressive big man inside who moves players inside and draws a lot of fouls. He is a bit of a do it all guy who can shoot from the outside and can also put it on the floor. He also is a good athlete who can get up and dunk the ball, also he uses this athleticism to block shots at the rim.
Gus Yalden 6’8- OZ Elite Red, 2023
Gus Yalden has earned the nickname “Baby Jockic” for having a similar play style to NBA Superstar Nikola Jockic. Gus has a similar game to Jockic but is his own unique beast. He has great footwork and can move players out of his way and finish with a soft touch at the rim. Gus is also a magnet for the ball on the offensive boards, he always seems to be in right spot for easy put backs. He can also put the ball on the floor after a rebound and find open players on the fastbreak. Gus also has the potential to be a stretch big man, he has a very good stroke from the outside. Gus is one of the top players in the class of 2023 definitely a name to know.
Freddie “Trey” Edmonds III 6’8- Billups Elite, 2021
Freddie Edmonds is a BIG body, he is built like a grown man. Freddie is not just big, he is super athletic, having more then a few finishes over the rim this past weekend. He also can move players in paint to get easy lay ups or hook finishes. On the defensive end he is very impressive, he gets very low in his defensive stance and can guard every position on the court. Freddie can guard outside but also protects the rim very well, getting up and blocking shots. He is also cleans the offensive class, getting layups or drawing fouls.
David Oyana 6’10- OZ Elite Red, 2023
David Oyana is a player with a massive amount of potential. Daivd is tall and athletic, standing at 6’10 he is a great rim protector. This athleticism also allowed him to have some highlight dunks over defenders. David also gets good position in the post and can finish easily over smaller defenders. David is someone I believe will be a big name soon.
Boubacar Mboup 6’10- SI Select, 2022
Boubacar Mboup was the biggest player in the whole tournament, he is a unit. He is 6’10 and over 230 pounds so if you couldn’t guess, he can easily move players out of his way. Boubacar has good footwork in the post, using drop steps to get easy lay ups at the rim. On the defensive end he is a brick wall that players have a hard time not running into. Boubacar is surprisingly agile for a player his size and has good stamina.
