The Circuit League: All-Tournament Third Team (16U)

<p>The Circuit League began Thursday night at Drive Nation and was stacked with talented prospects from every age group. The Circuit League is on July 2nd and 3rd and will return on July 16th and 17th. Here is a team composed of some of the best players I saw from 16U.</p> <p><a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2020/07/DSC_0006.jpg"><img class="size-thumbnail wp-image-1009053 alignright" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2020/07/DSC_0006-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" /></a></p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="955396" first="Corey" last="Gordon"] - Team Buddy Buckets - G</strong></p> <p>Gordon is an excellent slasher and strong finisher around the rim. He is excellent in transition and has a good motor. Gordon is also a good passer and rebounder. [player_tooltip player_id="955396" first="Corey" last="Gordon"]’s best play of the weekend was a dunk off of an alley-oop on an inbounds play. </p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1010380" first="Ringo" last="Deng"] - Texas Legion Elite - G/F</strong></p> <p>Deng is a lengthy wing that had a big game in Texas Legion Elite’s game against Drive Nation. He made multiple three’s and was one of the best defenders in the tournament. He has the quickness to play tight defense and he brings good energy.</p> <p><a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2020/07/DSC_0007.jpg?1594069851314"><img class="size-thumbnail wp-image-1010370 alignright" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2020/07/DSC_0007-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" /></a></p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="967402" first="Tylor" last="McCarthey"] - Team Buddy Buckets - F</strong></p> <p>McCarthey is a tenacious rebounder on both ends of the floor and a decent finisher around the rim. His game stretches beyond the three-point line as he has the ability to knock down three’s off the catch with confidence.</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="889563" first="Trae" last="Clayton"] - Drive Nation - F</strong></p> <p>Clayton is a lengthy forward that is extremely athletic. He is a good downhill scorer and a strong finisher. Clayton is a decent rebounder, but he does not have the height of a power forward yet. If he continues to grow he will become an even better rebounder. But for now his rebounding ability rests on his length and athleticism. Clayton showed off his athleticism in one of the games and had a posterizing dunk over a defender. </p> <p><a href="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2020/07/DSC_0040.jpg"><img class="size-thumbnail wp-image-1009434 alignright" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/ph/uploads/2020/07/DSC_0040-150x150.jpg" alt="" width="150" height="150" /></a></p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="1009435" first="Kenny" last="Hardy"] - Texas Dynasty - F</strong></p> <p>Hardy is a strong finisher around the basket and a good rebounder. He never gives up on a play and brings good energy. [player_tooltip player_id="1009435" first="Kenny" last="Hardy"] finishes through contact and does the little things that help his team win.</p>
