Last week we broke down some players to know in the 2021 class, the prospects there are truly missing out the most on the summer prior to their senior seasons with AAU.
Now, is a look at some more names to know in the 2022 class.

Levertis Williams Levertis Williams 6'3" | SG Coral Reef | 2022 State FL (Coral Reef)
In Miami, there is a maturing shooting guard/forward and playmaker in the 6’3″ athlete Levertis Williams Levertis Williams 6'3" | SG Coral Reef | 2022 State FL . He had a very impressive sophomore campaign, averaging 15.3 PPG and 3.9 RPG with performances of 32 points against Ferguson and 29 points against Archbishop McCarthy. Williams is a high level athlete who flourishes as an attacker and is a speedy and knockdown shooter.
Kolby King Kolby King 6'2" | PG Pembroke Pines | 2022 State FL & Derrick Lovett Derrick Lovett 6'5" | SF Blanche Ely | 2022 State FL (Blanche Ely)
Right behind 2020 Iowa State commit Dudley Blackwell, 2022 pair Kolby King Kolby King 6'2" | PG Pembroke Pines | 2022 State FL and Derrick Lovett Derrick Lovett 6'5" | SF Blanche Ely | 2022 State FL turned in some very good performances for Blanche Ely. King, a 6′ guard finished second on the team in scoring with 10.5 PPG as he had 12 games in double figures led by a season-best 26 points against Providence and a day later a 20-point, 12-rebound showing against Connecticut Windsor. He has impressive court vision. As for Lovett (pictured), the 6’5″ wing averaged 10.5 PPG and 7.1 RPG with 11 double-digit games. On Jan. 7, he recorded 23 points (11-of-13 shooting) along with 15 rebounds in a win over Nova. Blanche Ely has two soon to be juniors to trust in King and Lovett.
Brenen Lorient Brenen Lorient 6'8" | PF Calvary Christian | 2022 State FL (Forest)
At 6’7″, Brenen Lorient Brenen Lorient 6'8" | PF Calvary Christian | 2022 State FL has the length and body to put it all together. This past season for Ocala Forest, he averaged 9.3 PPG and 6.4 RPG. Lorient shot 59 percent from the field overall. His free throw shot is a work in progress, but with more aggressive takes to the basket, the better off he will be. Lorient is a fast paced big who can throw it down with ease due to his pure athleticism.
Kevin Charles Kevin Charles 6'4" | SF Immokalee | 2022 State FL (Immokalee)
At 6’3″, Kevin Charles Kevin Charles 6'4" | SF Immokalee | 2022 State FL is a leaper. He can get up and down the floor with ease and he likes to push the cause. Averaging 11.6 PPG (second on the team) and 7.1 RPG (first on the team), Charles proved he is a versatile player as both a guard and forward. He had 14 double digit games including outputs of 32 points against East Lee County and 23 points against Naples in the Class 5A-District 12 tournament. A team captain as a sophomore, Charles is going to be an issue for defenses next season.
Isaiah Nesmith Isaiah Nesmith 6'4" | CG Benjamin | 2022 State FL (Benjamin)
A dual-sport athlete playing wide receiver/cornerback for the football team and guard for the basketball team, Isaiah Nesmith Isaiah Nesmith 6'4" | CG Benjamin | 2022 State FL is a true talent. At 6’4″, he averaged 9.4 PPG for a young team as he reached double digits nine times on the season. He had a solid 17-point game against Cardinal Newman where he proved his ability to get inside, hitting 6-of-8 free throws and 4-of-6 from inside the arc. No matter what sport Nesmith plays, the upside is clear for him.
Mike Malagies Mike Malagies 6'3" | CG Clearwater Academy International | 2022 State FL (Oldsmar Christian)
The step forward was clear for Mike Malagies Mike Malagies 6'3" | CG Clearwater Academy International | 2022 State FL after he made the switch from Calvary Christian to Oldsmar Christian last summer. The 6’3″ shooting guard tacked on muscle, flashed improvement as a driver to the basket and used his reliable 3-point shot to hurt defenses. A very under the radar talent, Malagies has a high IQ, plays with a lot of speed, confidence and seriousness, I will be interested to see the leaps he makes as a junior.
