With the sudden abrupt end to the 2019-20 season, here’s a look at some unsigned seniors worth taking a look at.

[player_tooltip player_id="572979" first="Dylan" last="Blake"] - First Flight

Blake finished his First Flight career putting up over 2,000 points in the backcourt and 28.7 ppg this season while also averaging 8.0 rebounds, 3.2 steals and 3.0 assists per game. He’s a prospect that will make a college coach look good at the next level wherever he ends up.

[player_tooltip player_id="833306" first="Samage" last="Teel"] - Farmville Central

Teel was coming up on the tail-end of his senior season as the Jaguars were on the brink of winning another 2A title. He’s a top-notch defender and can make plays with the ball in his hands at the combo guard spot. He holds a recent offer from UNC-Wilmington’s new brass and Presbyterian.

[player_tooltip player_id="833163" first="Rashod" last="Smith"] - Washington

Smith is another combo guard that can do work with the ball in his hands. He produced 21.5 ppg, 7.5 apg, 5.2 rpg and 2.8 spg as one of the top guards in the Eastern Carolina Conference. HBCUs and other colleges in the state should take a good look at Smith with the recruiting window under wraps.

Auldon Edwards - Reidsville

Edwards had a strong season in the rotation on the wing alongside fellow guard [player_tooltip player_id="838018" first="Breon" last="Pass"]. His shot from 3-point land has really come along, as he shot 37 percent this season while averaging 18.2 ppg, 9.2 rpg, 3.1 apg, 1.8 spg and 1.0 bpg. He’s a 6-foot-4 swingman with athleticism and length to go with it. He even surpassed 2,000 career points as a member of the Rams.

[player_tooltip player_id="833341" first="Wykise" last="Allen"] - South Granville

Allen finished his senior season strong, averaging 15.6 ppg, 9.0 rpg and 3.1 apg for South Granville. He’s really developed as a rebounder (15 double-doubles) and defender on the defensive end. He does well to play passing lanes and get deflections. He holds offers from Catawba Valley and

[player_tooltip player_id="931597" first="Devin" last="Brown"] - Eastern Wayne

Brown is an underrated big man in the 2020 class of North Carolina. He’s emerging as a double-double machine and rim protector in the paint the more he touches the floor. At 6-foot-8, he’s got the tools and mobility to make an impact on the floor right away. He’s definitely worth a few looks from colleges.

[player_tooltip player_id="833092" first="Christian" last="Hampton"] - Northwest Guilford

Hampton is a high-flying guard that’s turned heads this season with the NW Guilford Vikings with his ability to attack the paint and dunk the ball with authority. He’s made an effort to operate more as a downhill driver as well. He holds offers from Mount Olive and Catawba.

Deandre Downing - Washington County

Downing is a 6-foot-5 forward that fills up the stat sheet. He finished the 2019-20 averaging 13.6 ppg, 11.7 rpg, 4.2 apg, 3.5 spg and 2.2 bpg as a senior. His long frame allows him to protect the rim and run rim to rim with relative ease on both ends. As he gets stronger in the weight room, he’s one to watch.

[player_tooltip player_id="533411" first="Jajuan" last="Carr"] - Pender

Carr is an explosive lead guard that can get to the rim and shoot it with room and rhythm. He’s an electric player at 6-foot that can push the pace on both ends and turn heads with his athleticism. He’s another one with a recent offer from UNC-Wilmington.

[player_tooltip player_id="573018" first="Traymond" last="Willis-Shaw"] - Westover

Willis-Shaw has really come along in the frontcourt for the Westover Wolverines. He put up 13.7 ppg, 6.5 rpg and 1.7 spg as a stretch-forward for the Wolverines as they made it all the way to the 3A State Final. He even put up 17 points and 11 rebounds in a tough matchup against Clayton High School. He’s a name that should grow this offseason.

[player_tooltip player_id="833124" first="Alex" last="Holt"] - Lexington

Holt is an emerging big man at 6-foot-8 that’s slowly figuring things out as a rim protector and paint presence. He averaged a double-double to go along with 4.7 blocks per game to establish himself at Lexington Senior High. He’s also earned a recent offer from High Point University.

[player_tooltip player_id="833178" first="Garrett" last="McRae"] - Scotland

McRae is a combo guard with a ton of skill to his game. He can play with and without the ball with his ability to defend the basketball with pressure and create off the fastbreak. He's got nice strength and athleticism for his size at 5-foot-10.
