EE Smith Junior Guard Demetrius Polk: He would battle injuries throughout the year but showed his toughness and desire to win. On several occasions he led his team in scoring but also improved his role as a facilitator as well.
Douglas Byrd HS Junior Guard Shawn Jones: Was a late addition to the squad as he didn’t join the official roster until the 2nd semester. However that didn’t hold him back from doing major damage once he got on the court, in one of their recent games he went for 30 points in a win.
Jack Britt HS Senior Guard Langston Davis: With the squad losing some of its leading scorers last season, he has been called to step in and step up. His size and skill set for a guard is why smaller college have been showing interest.
Trinity Christian Sophomore Guard Cam Oates: With TCS being such a young team, they would need someone to step in and take on somewhat of a leadership role. Oates who played as a freshman has used his early experience to help the squad throughout the season and will be a huge piece in their state championship run.
Village Christian Senior Wing Josh Reid: He’s had an up and down year but at times has made winning plays for his squad. The ability he has to make play inside and out are one of the reasons he’s a valuable player for his squad.
Trinity Christian Sophomore Jahmari McDougald: The ability he has to play on and off the ball makes him a dangerous player on the floor. There has been quite a few games where he has stepped up and made winning plays for the squad.
South View HS Sophomore Guard Cedavion Wimbley: He’s only played about 8/9 games for the squad but since he’s joined, he’s stepped in and made a major impact. Averaging about 20 points per game, he has been the spark that his team needed to get wins.
Westover HS Senior Guard Manas Drummond: One of the X factors on his team, he often gets overlooked but he brings consistency without a doubt. Solid defense and production offensively throughout the year has been valuable for Westover.
Fayetteville Christian Senior Forward Daunte Gardner: Undersized at the Forward spot, he doesn’t allow that to slow him down one bit. He’s constantly working, pulling down rebounds, finishing inside and providing buckets for his team.
Fayetteville Academy Sophomore Amir Pearson: We love the motor that he plays with, using his energy and effort to make plays. The combination of his motor and athleticism makes him a player you love to have on your squad.
