5. Golden
Golden has been traditionally a good 4A team that is back and ready this year. The only loss they have is against the solid Lewis-Palmer team, but this week they had a good win against Pueblo East. Golden is a deep team that plays a lot of players. Their scoring is spread out throughout the roster, this week they have a tough match up against Sand Creek. Then they head up North to compete in the Power to Play tournament, starting off against a solid Fossil Ridge team.
4. Harrison
Harrison is a very talented team that is still undefeated. They have yet to face any tough match ups but have some good games coming up this week. Star Donta Dawson is leading the team with 19 points and 8 rebounds per game. This week they play Thomas Jefferson today and Pueblo West on Thursday.
3. Mead
Mead has had a good season so far with a stacked team. They have one of the most talented teams in the state, not just in 4A, they are definitely a fun team to look out for. They do not have any big games this week so they should keep the winning up.
2. Lewis-Palmer
Lewis-Palmer despite loosing most of their team from the championship winning team, they have come out strong. They are currently being led by junior Eddie Speller who makes a difference with his athleticism. He is averaging 13.6 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. They have no huge challenges before the break but afterwards they play Pueblo East and Chaparral, which will be some good games to look out for.
1. Cheyenne Mountain
Cheyenne Mountain is still undefeated, but did not have any games this past week. They came off of a good first week sweeping the Fountain Fort Carson tournament. This week they travel down to Pueblo and have a challenging match up against Pueblo East. They have the leading scorer in the state so far in Javonte Johnson who is averaging 29.3 points per game who is most likely going to stay up at the top.
