Abel Maes- Overland, G 6’1 2021
Abel is someone I did not know before the weekend but he really impressed. On a very talented team he stuck out. He can score from inside and out, he knocked down threes and attacked inside. He is another great asset for state champ favorites in Overland.
Val Leonte- Fowler, G 6’3 2021
Val is another player I did not know coming into the camp, but he played very well and was a good surprise. For a guard, he has a good body to help him get some buckets. He can create space with his bulkiness and has a soft touch at the rim. Also, he is one the few players who effectively uses the mid range jumper. Since he is at a 3A school he could be putting up more big numbers this year; someone smaller colleges should look out for.
Brad Kerr- East, F 6’6 2021
Brad is a player who, after this summer, it seems something switched in his head and he gets the game better now. He is playing more aggressive than last year and getting his own buckets. Brad can shoot the three from outside and is now getting to the rim assertively. He even got a poster over the weekend, watch out for him to have a big step up in production this year.
Tarrance Austin- Pueblo South, G/F 5’10 2022
Tarrance is not the tallest guy but he out hustles almost everyone on the court. He is only 5’10 but plays like he is over 6 feet tall. He gets to the bucket and uses his body well to create space at the rim. On the defensive end he can get into the other teams heads by playing pesky defense.
Tommy Crawford- ThunderRidge, F 6’7 2020
Tommy is a guy who had a good off season and improved his game instrumentally. He is a lengthy 6’7 who makes his impact on the boards and hits threes from the outside. On the offensive boards he can get put-back dunks. His senior year can be big for him to help out this talented ThunderRidge team.
