With conference play underway, let’s take a look at the 16th- through 20th-leading rebounders in Colorado’s Class 3A.
16. Caleb Curran, F, James Irwin, 2020, 8.7 rpg
Through the first seven games of his junior season, Curran averaged 8.7 rebounds a night. The Jaguars (6-5) will need him to keep up the rebounding production if they want to stay above .500 for the season.
17. J Searle, 6-0, G, Ellicott, 2020, 8.7 rpg
It’s been a rough winter out in Calhan, Colo., but Searle has been a bright spot on an otherwise disappointing 1-10 season so far. Through seven games, he averaged 14.6 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 2.4 steals and 2.3 blocks per game.
18. Jameson Walter, 6-4, F, Liberty Common, 2020, 8.7 rpg
Another solid producer on a team that’s having a sub-par season, Walter comes in at No. 18 on this list with an average of 8.7 rebounds per game. He’s also scoring 18.0 points and averaging 2.2 assists, 1.0 steals and 1.1 blocks.
19. Austin Sneller, 6-2, F, Lamar, 2019, 8.6 rpg
Also a baseball player, Sneller had a very strong start to the winter basketball season. Through 10 games, he averaged 10.3 points and 8.6 rebounds per game. He also came up with 2.2 steals and blocked 1.4 shots.
20. Cyrus Lefforge, 6-6, C, Fort Lupton, 2019, 8.1 rpg
