Final 16U Grassroots Rankings
We continue our grassroots end-of-season wrap-up today with a look at the 16U Division.
There was really no doubting the No. 1 team on this list. From the first tournament of the spring to the final whistle in July, Colorado Hawks Red proved it was the cream of the crop in the class.
Among the highlights: A spring victory over the talented Colorado Chaos 17U team — back when it still had athletic forward Padiet Wang — a spring championship at the KC Classic, and a number of upset over nationally ranked teams on the Adidas Gauntlet circuit throughout the summer.
We’ll have a further breakdown of the Hawks in a Grassroots Rewind article in the coming days.
As for the rest of the list, the competition for top spots was fierce, with three different teams having a good argument for the No. 2 spot. There was also a newcomer to the top 10 that cracked the final list.
