303 Elite at a glance:
Record: 18-10
Best Tournament Finish: 303 Elite reached the quarterfinals of the 15U Platinum Elite Bracket at the Fab 48 in Las Vegas and finished the tournament with a 3-2 record.
MVP: Jaedon Bowles, 6-5 guard/forward. The athletic and skilled rising sophomore was everywhere for the team this season, averaging 20 points and 10 rebounds throughout the spring and summer. He’s simply a player who can affect the game in a multitude of ways.
Other Standouts
Lían Ramiro, 5-9 guard. Playing up a year, the 2020 point guards served as a heady floor general for the team, and was considered the team’s most improved player from start to finish.
Christian Davis, 5-11 guard. Coach Anson Ramiro calls Davis (the younger brother of former Mullen and Colorado Hawks standout Nathan Davis) an “assassin” because of his ability to knock down shots with great consistency, lauding especially his ability to get shots running off screens.
Dayne Prim, 6-4 forward. Ramiro called Prim the team’s “Mr. Hustle” player, noting his ability to excel on the boards and do “the little things” to help the team win games.
Sufyan Elkannan, 6-3 guard. Elkannan received good experience playing for a strong Manual varsity team as a freshman. He’s a long and athletic slasher who the team also counted upon to knock down some big shots. Ramiro praised his court IQ and his growth in confidence.
Final Thought: Bowles is a joy to watch. As he continues to add polish to his game, it will be interesting to see just how high he can climb. These team has been playing together for some time and has strong chemistry. They should be a force to be reckoned with come the spring should they remain together.
