Let’s take a look at the list:
Alec Pell, 6-4 guard, Cherry Creek (Colorado Hawks). Previous: N/A. New: 13.
Pell was one of the most impressive rebounders this spring. He brings strong aggressiveness and desire on the glass. He’s also got a nice offensive feel for the game and good size at his position. New to Cherry Creek from Dallas, he’ll be a player to watch for the Bruins this season.
Joel Scott, 6-4 forward, Lewis-Palmer (Billups Elite). Previous: 26. New: 9.
Scott has a solid, strong frame, and he uses that physical advantage well on the court, particularly on the defensive end. He’s a strong rim protector and determined rebounder, strengths that should only continue to flourish as he rises in height.
Ronnie DeGray III, 6-5 guard/small forward, Chaparral (Billups). Previous: 6. New: 3.
Jumps within the top 10 aren’t easy to make, but DeGray III proved again and again this spring that he is undoubtedly among the class’ elite. He won MVP of the Prep Hoops Spring Kick Off in the 15U Division by affecting the game in numerous ways. He has a strong IQ and strong footwork, both on the perimeter and down in the post. Great at creating contact and getting to the line, where he is an efficient shooter. Bright future as he continues to physically grow.
Chase Hettinger, 6-3 guard, Castle View (Hawks). Previous: 16. New: 7.
Hettinger can flat out score the basketball. He averaged 9 points per game as a freshman at Castle View. At 6-3, 170 pounds, he already has a great frame that will continue to grow. He’s a strong outside shooter, and he works off that to be an efficient attacker of the basket.
Jamil Safieddine, 6-0 guard, Regis Jesuit (Hawks). Previous: N/A. New: 17.
Safieddine has put a ton of work into his game, and the results have paid off with a big spring and a strong start to the summer on a young but talented Regis Jesuit squad. Safieddine has a great natural feel for the game and knows how to get to the basket and finish. He’s a good outside shooter and competes on the defensive end.
Avery Rembao, 6-3 guard, Loveland (Colorado Premier). Previous: 31. New: 26
Rembao has good size for his position and is still growing, and he’s improved his explosiveness and first step. He also made big strides on the defensive end this spring. Another player who knows how to get to the basket and find his shot.
