The event has a large contingent of Chaos players, but there are also a number of prospects from other programs participating as well. Superlative point guard Colbey Ross will be among those in attendance.
For now, here’s a look at five under-the-radar players to watch at the event:
Dawson Keller, 6-6 2017 forward, Eagle Valley
Keller was among the leading shot blockers in the state last season, averaging 4.1 per game. He also averaged seven boards per game. He also averaged eight points and seven rebounds per contest for the Devils. A small-school big man to watch this season.
Cameron DeHart, 6-7 2017 small forward, Fossil Ridge
DeHart is a versatile player who runs the floor well and can protect the rim, as well as step out and shoot it from the outside. The Sabercats have the chance to do big things this season in the 5A Front Range League, and DeHart will certainly be key to that effort.
Garrett Ripsam, 6-2 2018 guard, Fossil Ridge
Ripsam is a player who was impressive as the leader of Chaos’ No. 2 2018 team this spring. He’s a player who can do a little bit of everything pretty well. Defends with good energy, can shoot it and handles it with poise. Should be a good backcourt partner with Braxton Bertolette this season.
Andre Sepeda, 5-8 2019 point guard, Greeley West
Sepeda was a dependable floor general, as a freshman, for a team that nearly captured the 5A Front Range League crown last season. With a year of experience under his belt, it will be fun to see just what an infusion of confidence can do for a guard who already is determined not to back down from anyone, bigger or otherwise.
Tate Busse, 6-0 2018 guard, St. Francis (Kan.)
Busse is a guy who we watched light it up at the Prep Hoops Spring Kick Off back in April, hitting about four 3-pointers in a five-minute span in one game. He has the capability of lightning it up from long range in a hurry, and he’ll be an interesting player to watch this July.
