We will also bring you plenty of coverage here. First up, some of the 14U and 15U standouts from Friday night:
COLORADO TITANS GOLD 14U
Grant Swenson, 2020
Swenson looks to have all the tools of a bonafide scorer. He can drive and finish with either hand, displaying a nice running floater with his left hand. He uses the glass well within 8 feet, and looked extremely confident firing from deep, knocking down treys off the bounce and off the catch.
Henry Blackburn, 2020
There’s isn’t a whole lot of flash to Blackburn’s game, he just gets the job done. He’s strong and smart with his handles and puts the ball in his teammates’ hands at the perfect time. Showed a couple of nice finishes too, drawing contact but never taking his eyes off the basket.
ABA ELITE 14U
Luke Bille, 2020, Regis Jesuit
Bille was a scoring machine for ABA, using his size and speed to overpower anything the defense threw at him. He used his physical gifts to get to the rim time and time again. He couldn’t be stopped when he decided to attack on Friday night.
303 Elite 15U
Jaedon Bowles, 2019, Manual HS
He’s super bouncy, super long and looks to have the frame to pack on muscle as he matures. Bowles was everywhere on the boards Friday night, snatching down rebounds left and right and putting them back in for buckets. The No. 2 player in the Prep Hoops Colorado 2019 class finished with 25 points.
COLORADO CHAOS 15U
Bailey Verk, 2019, ThunderRidge
By no means is Verk the most physically imposing big out there, but he’s makes up for it in savvy. He’s not the biggest, but is smart with his fakes and his feet to work his way around longer, more athletic defenders for tough inside scores.
THE FORCE 15U
Matthew Ragsdale, 2019, Lewis-Palmer
Ragsdale is ultra smooth in the open court and loves pushing the break. His left-handed attack catches defenders off guard as he can change pace with the best of them. Has a polished Eurostep and a beautiful teardrop in his arsenal of finishes.
COLORADO TITANS 15U BLACK
Aaron Martinez 2019, Broomfield
He’s small in stature but large in courage. Martinez took it fearlessly to the rack throughout Friday night, showing excellent bounce and crafty finishes. A blur in the fast break, Martinez was able to elevate to finish in style over larger defenders.
COLORADO HAWKS 15U
Stephen Hayes, Overland
In a narrow loss to Iowa Elite Cavil, Hayes scored 14 points. Hayes, at 6-3, can play multiple positions and defends well. Chase Hettinger of Castle View had 17 points to lead the way for the Hawks.
