Prep Hoops Spring Kick Off: 16U All-Tournament Team
There were no shortage of fantastic performances at the inaugural Prep Hoops Spring Kick Off last weekend.
Of course, that made picking players for our division-by-division all-tournament teams a difficult task. There were plenty of worthy candidates. We tried to identify the players who were at their best from start to finish, factoring in our own observations and notes with nominations from program directors and coaches.
Here is what we came up with in the highly competitive 16U Division:
MVP
Sam Bannec, Billups Elite. Bannec did a little bit of everything for Billups in its run to the 16U title. The 6-4 small forward is long and versatile and has solid athleticism. On top of that he is a strong outside shooter and handles the ball well. He seemed to deliver big plays every time his team needed one throughout the weekend.
