The Tigers have impressive chemistry for this part of the season. They have a trio of senior guards in Jake Wilcox, Peyton Miller (pictured) and Robi Powers, a transfer from Steamboat Springs, who all share the ball, can shoot it from deep and know how to find soft spots in the defense.
Grand Junction coach Isaac Madison said most of the Tigers’ upperclassmen actually had limited varsity experience heading into the season, but you wouldn’t know it by how well they’ve played.
Added to that group is 6-foot-8 senior big man Ben Rasmussen, who displayed impressive touch in the paint and can run the floor very well.
