Got to see Zilliax with Seattle Academy for the first time this fall, and he was lighting it up from behind the arc. He’s starting to show he can identify mismatches and how to attack them differently, and what spots to attack from. Another moment of learning came when he was late to get his hand up on a much shorter shooter from 3. He wouldn’t make the same mistake twice, blocking the next guy who tried to hoist a three over him.

Zilliax is one of the more intriguing prospects in this class with his wing skill set and size at 6-foot-8. He moved over to Seattle Academy this year after playing at Bush last season. He’s a kid who can shoot off the catch, off the bounce, can use his length at the rim, and is learning to take advantage of mismatches by shooting over smaller defenders and also bullying his way (under control) to get shots closer in.

Zilliax was a little under the radar at Bush last season, but he makes the move to Seattle Academy ahead of his sophomore season. He’s been hard to miss this summer with Seattle Select as a smooth wing with size and innate shot-making ability. It will be fun to see him compete in the Metro League this winter and start to showcase his skills and sky-high potential on a bigger stage.

Zilliax joins the 2028 rankings in this update and does so in a big way, jumping into the top 10. He was a key contributor for Bush this past season, earning first-team all-league honors and playing a big role in scoring the rock for them. He’s continued to elevate his play and showcase some tantalizing potential with his size, fluidity, and shooting. He shoots the three exceptionally well, has a nice turnaround jumper to go to closer in that he can get at almost anytime with his size, and he’s shown some desire to block shots and be a factor at the rim. He’s suiting up with Seattle Select this spring and should garner a lot of attention.
