A state champion, Will Scott Will Scott 6'1" | PG Archbishop Hoban | 2023 State OH saved the best basketball of his career for a playoff push that ended with the ultimate prize. I was impressed with Scott’s ability to put pressure on the defense with his dribble drive game and the defense of Hoban as a team was the main reason why they won the state championship. Scott is an athletic guard who makes an impact on both ends of the court and when the jumper is falling, he can have a huge impact on a game. I expect more programs to jump in on the recruitment of Scott once some priority transfers make their decisions.

Scott and Jonas Nichols Jonas Nichols 6'3" | SG Hoban | 2024 State OH fueled a state title run for Archbishop Hoban and while Nichols didn’t have his offensive game going, the pair were everywhere defensively and helped push the pace for easy buckets for the Knights. Nichols also had a game-high five assists for the Knights as well. After Scott started slow from the floor, he got things going at the end of the first half with a couple mid-range shots and floaters to give Hoban a one-point lead heading into the locker room. Then in the second half it was the tempo that Scott created with his quickness and off the bounce game that gave Hoban a spark to take the lead and never give it up in the fourth quarter.

Scott is the most athletic prospect discussed in this article and has some real talent with his burst, quickness and explosiveness when attacking the basket. Recently had one of the best games of his career with a 30 point and 5 steal performance against Massillon Washington in the sectional finals. When Scott’s jumper is falling, he’s one of the tougher guards to stop in northeast Ohio. Archbishop Hoban went on a deep playoff run last season with Scott playing a key role, if he can do it again and lead his team back to the regionals, his stock could improve to college coaches.
