Expert Analysis
Anthony Fortuna | Prep Hoops Scout
Ty’Jir Broxie is entering his final high school season, and it’ll be exciting to watch him go toe-to-toe with some of the state’s other top forwards. He has a real knack for establishing inside position, and there aren’t many players who can guard him single-handedly. He also absorbs contact well and makes frequent trips to the charity stripe. Broxie gets it done defensively too, as he regularly alters shots and racks up blocks. He is also capable of collecting double-digit rebounds between both ends of the court. He currently holds one Division I offer from Alcorn State, and there could be more on the way.

Ty’Jir Broxie is now ranked #6 in the 2027 rankings. He had a pretty strong showing at NLI this past weekend. Getting it done on both ends of the court for the Rattlers. On offense, just about all of his buckets come in the paint and he’ll go up for dunks when the opportunity presents itself. Defenders will also resort to fouling when he gains inside position, and he often makes it to the free throw line 3-5 times a game. On the other end of the court, he swats shots when he uses his anticipation skills. Look for him to keep expanding his arsenal on offense the rest of the year.

Ty’Jir Broxie was utilizing his strength and frame every possession yesterday for Mojave. On offense, he had no problem backing his defender down. From there he went straight up with it, and his high release point allowed him to convert contested finishes. His assertiveness also helped him earn one trip to the free throw line after another. On defense, he limited his matchup’s production and had a few blocks. He’ll look to continue to be a workhorse for the Rattlers the rest of the weekend.

is now running with the 17U Prominent Elite team. His height, assertiveness, and scoring give them a boost. And I like how he’s already producing for them. He doesn’t need to be told twice to go strong to the basket, and he was throwing down dunks with force. On defense, he was leveraging his wingspan and physicality to make his presence felt.

hasn’t moved from the #4 slot. The versatile forward is built to overpower opponents in the paint and can go right through them when attacking. He also has multiple moves in his bag to counter and will dunk it on opponents who try to jump with him. His athleticism and height also pose problems for his matchup on defense, as he isn’t an easy guy to gain ground on or get around. Broxie notably posted 5 double-doubles this season and looks poised for a strong spring/summer with the Oakland Soldiers.

He uses his strength to overwhelm defenders in the paint and frequently earns trips to the charity stripe. Broxie also has a knack for piling up rebounds in a hurry. Overall, he’s very athletic and he may be one of the top double-double producers in Nevada this season.

had the 3rd biggest wingspan at the combine, 80 inches (about 6’6/6’7). He also measured in at 6’6 without shoes on. Between his height, length, and anticipation skills. He should be able to alter shots regularly on defense this year, and it also gives him an advantage when it comes to finishing or dunking.
