Ty'Jir Broxie was utilizing his strength and frame every possession yesterday for Mojave. On offense, he had no problem backing his defender down. From there he went straight up with it, and his high release point allowed him to convert contested finishes. His assertiveness also helped him earn one trip to the free throw line after another. On defense, he limited his matchup's production and had a few blocks. He'll look to continue to be a workhorse for the Rattlers the rest of the weekend.

[player_tooltip player_id='2111894' first='Tyler' last='Merto'] opened the Nevada Live Invitational with a dominant 28-point performance against Notre Dame. He scored in a variety of ways, knocking down jumpers, triples, and finishes in the paint. Merto also made a significant impact on the defensive end, contesting shots and high pointing rebounds. All in all, he showcased why he's one of Nevada's top prospects.

[player_tooltip player_id='1406767' first='Munir' last='Greig'] was draining shots for Coronado on day 1. He recognized when the defense was giving him too much room to operate and took full advantage. He also found scoring opportunities inside, and got to the line. Defensively, he did a good job of matching feet and utilizing his wingspan to keep his man in front of him.

[player_tooltip player_id='2147459' first='Neal' last='Pomerantz'] hustled on both ends of the floor for the Crusaders. He consistently crashed the glass, scoring second-chance points with offensive rebounds. While also using his soft touch to convert tough finishes in the paint. On the defensive end, he covered ground well and altered opponents' shots. Although the Crusaders came up short, Pomerantz made his presence felt throughout the game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2412305' first='Nick' last='Odum'] caught college coaches' attention yesterday with his length, versatility, and ability to make deflections and cause turnovers on defense. His play helped him earn offers from both UNLV and Southern Utah. He buried outside shots often using his smooth jumper. Considering his prototypical build and skillset, it wouldn't be surprising to see more colleges extend offers before the weekend is over.
