Expert Analysis
Bobby Lopez | Prep Hoops Scout
Hall began his rise late in the season and by the end it was impossible to overlook, finishing on a tear with five straight 20+ point performances and double doubles in four of them. His emphatic play showed just how dangerous he can be as a scorer and overall offensive threat. With a quick first step, he consistently got past defenders, and his ability to score at all three levels made him tough to contain. His jumper looked smooth and confident, and he played with a level of aggression that set him apart. That late surge, production and impact ultimately earned him a well deserved jump in the final rankings

Montezuma-Cortez is the No.2 seed and is coming off a close one in a 52-50 win over Classical Academy that came down to the wire. The player who stepped up in that game is the one who has been leading the way all season long, and that’s junior guard

. Hall is averaging 19 points a game. He puts a ton of pressure on the defense and is a relentless scorer. He’s also averaging 5 steals a game, which is among the top in the state; he turns players over and puts the ball in the basket consistently. Hall just reached the 1,000 points scored milestone and is looking to push his team towards a state championship with another big performance. I bet he turns heads along the way.

is easily one of the most well-rounded guards in the state, crashing the glass relentlessly while oozing physicality in the paint. Totalling his all-time best, 18 PPG, 8.2 RPG, 3 APG, and 4.8 RPG, Hall remains locked in and focused throughout all four quarters. The 6’1 SG has a burner on him, knocking down 58% of his looks from the field in his junior campaign. What’s most impressive with Hall is his dedication to his defense, elevating his intensity and pressing his matchup like no tomorrow. Expect the #14-ranked SG to take off big time.

He’s getting out in transition, staying aggressive throughout the game, and pushing the pace. He will hit the 1,000 mark in the next two weeks and will be in elite company for his school.

Hall is rising fast in the rankings because his game has taken a clear, undeniable leap. The production jump speaks for itself, but it’s how he’s doing it that stands out. He’s scoring at all three levels with confidence, living in the midrange, finishing strong inside and punishing defenders once he finds a rhythm. The 44-point school record performance he recently broke wasn’t a fluke but it was a statement. Add in his rebounding, playmaking and leadership, and Hall is proving he can carry a team and control games

(The Valley 16U) Hall did a little bit of everything for his team. He displayed solid ball-handling skills when needed and moved without the ball when he didn’t have it. Trey was heavily on the boards, showing off his athleticism. He was by far the most athletic player on the court.

In just about the farthest Southwest corner of the state, Hall found repeated success over at Montezuma-Cortez, posting 11.5 points while converting 35% of his three point attempts through his initial season. A capabel three point shooter off the catch, he found success even against aggressive incoming closeouts. Bringing a refined game particularly for that region, not to mention his 2027 class, he has shown early signs as a premier combo guard down south. His 60% clip on attempts inside the arc make him not only a consistent scoring threat but a dependable decision maker, not fazed by aggressive defenses.
