The West Aurora point created a lot of havoc in the back court in team’s later morning Saturday contest. Brown impacts as a 2 way guard that will provide as much value on defense as on the offensive end. His wing span was intriguing to witness and was utilized in constantly disrupting the opposing ball handlers motion. He created steals, deflections, and ran down a 2 handed block from behind off the backboard. Offensively he provides 3 level scoring touch with a high rise on his jumper. Brown confidently gets into his mid range game off of his creative bounce. He also threw a really tough alley oop finish to his teammate from beyond the arc displaying complete court vision and awareness. A lead guard that will continue to gain more traction on the recruiting trail.

Brown Jr.’s ability to push the pace on offense, fearlessly attack the rim, and score in a variety of ways – including throwing down powerful dunks for his 6’0 size – made his presence felt throughout the day. Brown also exhibited defensive playmaking potential with multiple steals and the quickness to disrupt opposing ball handlers and take them out of rhythm. As he continues to develop, improving his defensive consistency to match his relentless offensive motor will help him become a more complete two-way player.

Brown showcased some great playmaking skills while covering him in the early action. I also saw some outstanding defensive play. Sliding his feet really well to keep guys in front of him. Great stance and body control to back that up. Took over late in the opening contest with his play on both ends. Coming out of nowhere for two key blocks while creating several buckets in transition. I love the upside in Travis Brown Travis Brown 6'1" | PG West Aurora | 2027 State IL , and he’s got plenty of room still to grow.
